I wasn't sure if I was going to like this book, but I found as I read more I wanted to continue to find out what was actually going on with the characters. It was a great read.
The plot kept me thinking and wondering what was next. I thought I figured it all out at several times through the story. I learned I was only partly right which was great and keep me intrigued to read more.
I liked Victors narration. He fit the books characters well. They all came to life to me. Great job.
I enjoyed listening to the twists and turns of this story. Although I did figure out some of the twists before they occurred the author got me with others. This was a fun listen.
Avid reader and writer
Enticing, electric, emotional
Yes. The writer's story was richly layered and kept you wondering what was going to happen next.
His voice really resonated for me as the character of the writer. It seemed to fit him perfectly. I wouldn't want to hear him in anyone else's voice.
Yes. When she discovered her husband's involvement.
Something about Slezak's voice brought the writer's taunting way of speaking to life for me. Hard and crusty, but just a cover up to hide his pain. Would love to hear him narrate more of this character. Will look for more books narrated by him.
His voice is so pleasing to listen to and he reads so well. I wish he narrated more good books.
This was a great story, and the narrator superb. The only thing to be forewarned is it's a bit racy, so I wouldn't listen to it on speaker mode with small children.
Retired teacher then social worker living in Spain.. have three grown up children 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
I found this story, within another story, captivating and suspenseful could not wait for the next chapter to emerge
The disclosure of the mystery. which no one could anticipate
His voice, his acting, as an amateur actor myself, he was totally believable
I felt I was reading a newspaper report about what happened, but with insight about the facts.
I loved this book, and I will keep it on my Kindle to read again and again
I'm That Guy
I was just looking through my library and came across this title and thought...Hey, when did I get this book. After listening to a few minutes I remembered that I just finished this book about 2 weeks ago. Shows you how forgetable the story is. Very average.
This is my favorite audiobook so far, out of about half a hundred. The pacing is intriguing, the mystery gets fleshed and then revealed with optimum suspense. Characters are colorful. Won't spoil any surprises--listen and find out why this novel is called "Envy."
After years of being an audiofile this book and narrator is a chick lit favorite for me. Perfect reader, perfect cadence. Well written. I have not been nearly as fond of Sandra Browns other novels besides this one. Sure, I've listened to a few, and this one is in it's very own class outshining most chick lit cozies as the sun to a candle.
This story is somewhat predictable but keeps you interested. Lots of great characters and great plot.
Nice love story.
