Maybe if I was sick or bored.
The Gay General operation.
Don't sell your soul to al Qaeda it's not a fair trade.
If you were sick with a very nasty contagion, I don't think you would be running around a major city hocking up giant lugies in crowds of people. It made me ask the question what would be worse, a dirty bomb going off in a major city or a pandemic disease running rampant through a population. The book glossed over this question and the answer was not to my satisfaction, hence the scores. Also the poor character was in deep cover for about 10 years - there was no mention of how much back pay he should have received.
Disclosure: This is not my genre. That said, I have enjoyed this series. The stories are well crafted. Everything seems to fit without being transparent. The characters are consistently drawn story to story. Throughout there is very little call for suspension of disbelief despite inherent unreality. George Guidall’s narration is better and adds to the quality of the series. I’ve given each 4 stars but would give the series 5. In short, these stories are great entertainment for very little effort on the part of the listener.
I couldn't stop listening. Can't wait to read the second book. And to think I had never even heard of the series.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I felt Mr Dean's voice was perfect to read the story. As a matter of fact, I liked it so much I bought all the books in the series.
Lots of killing and revenge, but a good thriller even so. Main character made of hero stuff, terrorists are typical, but good story.
