I just enjoy books!
This book was not a great listen, the stories WAS AWFUL and long. To be truthful there really wasn't a story line. If you are looking for something to put you at the edge of your sit....this is not the book! If I could I would like a refund PLEASE.. LOL
She did an awful job, dry voice and boring!
Disappointment, because it was not what I expected, no story line until the end!
Tell us about yourself!
Yes i would recommend this book to a Friend, it was entertaining anf keep my interest.
No I havent
i don't really know, it just dragged on forever and really had no point to me
it was really slow and made too many references to color
i think some of her characters sounded mammy-ish (I know that is not a word)
Not really sure, just seemed like a lot of it was filler
yes i am a fan of rochelle alers
i cant say with out giving a part of the book,
i m not sure, but she lacked something, it would have helped to have different voice's for all the women got lost sometimes
yes it was
love to read, but very little time. very interested in mysteries, drama, and romance, as well as murder mysteries,
The audio version allows the reader to get a clearer picture of the emotional waves in this story first hand. The picture is painted much clearer in the audio than in print.
Bart was my favorite charactor. I loved his patient attitude, unbias outlook and his appreciation for living well. He was a very smart man that arrived at his powerfull status not easily. He new enough about women to appreciate and recognize a woman of quality.
Fay was a memorable character: Inteligent, proud, feminen, eligant and cautious.
If I renamed this book I would name it, Courtiers of another kind.
This book stress how important Trust was to Bart, and how unaware Faye was of her own beauty and how powerful it was. I became aware of how beauty and inteligence can manuever the senses of so many men. Thats a beast in itself to learn.
This book was okay it held my attention I have listen to this book 3 times it would be in on my top 30 of all the audio books I have in my collection.
The narrator was fine she did the best she could with the story. I do feel that it would have been better suited for an African American narrator so the terms and slang that was used in the story would sound more believeable.
The story was good it held my attention through out. Sort of the Pretty Woman type love story, however it was a good twist that it was a mixed couple.
Cover or Length? I guess neither would be a good choice to make a purchase by. I thought this book would be good by the reviews and the summary. I think it would have been better if I would have actually read it instead of listening. The narrator puts me to sleep and I found it hard to keep up with the story line. Maybe part two will be better. I have started part 1 over 4 times. Sorry I just think some books readers should be chosen to fit the characters and the book will keep the listner alert. The tone just throws me off.
