I truly enjoyed this book. It's funny and moving. Just a fun read, nothing earth shattering. Don't want to spoil anything so I don't want to speak to much about the actual story.
I do have to say that the audio quality is annoying. It sounds muffled the entire time. And once you are getting used to a certain degree of muffled it gets even worse!
Also, the narrator is not good at changing her voice or getting into character. Everyone (men and women alike) sound basically the same. Oh well. Hopefully Someone will re-record this book as it is great!
I can't wait for the books to come with sound effects and different actors that play different characters alongside a great narrator!
No spoilers! Love HOT, sexy books w/a plot. No vampires, paranormal, teens 4 me. I also review in exchange for books-lots of fun surprises!
Fun, smart & clever!
I have not, but the narration/performance was excellent! Each character was unique and well done.
I don't have 'extreme reactions' to anything...although the book is full of chuckles.
This is 3 stories in one book so there is some jumping around. It's easy to follow IF you know that.
Did I mention that I love almost anything written by Marian Keyes? Her books are fun, feeling and nothing too dark.
Slow going at first, but I really liked it. It made me try all over her books and she is now my top 10. I liked how this gave the behind the scenes of the book world. I am a lover of romance, and this was a good blend.
I definitely had a hard time getting through the beginning of this one and almost gave up several times. I'm so glad I stuck with it because I ending up loving it. Terry Donnelly is actually now one of my favorite narrators!
A cute story, engaging and funny. The adventures and misadventures of the three women keep the story moving. Lots of fun.
The narrator's interpretation of an American accent for Jojo, however, it rather irritating. She sounds incredibly like a 16 year old California mall rat, rather than an international business woman.
I really enjoyed this book. The narrator did a wonderful job. It was a little slow in the beginning but once I got into the story I didn't want it to end. I also enjoyed the insight into world of publishing.
As the previous reviewer stated the story started out a bit whiny and shrill, but after I got past that I just loved this book about 3 women whose lives were entertwined. Throughly enjoyable and desciptive story of their inner lives, loves and families. I was sad to reach the end and listened to it a second time.
The story itself was lighthearted and fun but the narration was annoying. The narrator was inconsistent with her various accents and did a very bad Irish accent. It was distracting.
this is not one of Marian Keyes best but still enjoyable. i found the story funny but quite unrealistic most of the time. easy read. great for the beach.
