I saw it coming, but did not like it. The ending was a downer.
This is the continuing saga of Agent Harvath and his fight for America's freedom and safety. Scott is celebrating a successful mission and visiting an old friend when America's vulnerability is shown is a truly massive way. All the bridges and tunnels to and from Manhattan are destroyed and the cops were sent out just prior to the explosion on multiple small calls scattering the responding teams. But there al-Qaeda is not only proving it can hit America, its trying to rescue its people. So Scott with a rag tag assortment of VA patients as his team has to search each attack and try to figure what the end game is and how to stop it.
This story had lots of moving parts and new characters, but Thor put them all together brilliantly. Unexpected twists and turns, much like a season of 24. Well done!
Not only does Brad Thor thoroughly research the technology in this (and all) his books, it is frighteningly prophetic of what is happening with our government leadership right now. Thor's sources for information provide him with the guts for this fascinating and fabulous Harvath book !
I enjoyed listening to this book as there was never really a slow moment. The book captured my attention from the beginning and kept going until the end. I quickly realized I would want to read other books in this series. This was more than confirmed with the turn of events at the end. I have all books in this series on my wish list, and I will be reading them.
Without giving anything away, a scene at the end was a bit shocking. I had to read it twice to make sure what I read really happened. It wasn't a typical ending. It made me want to read more in this series.
Well I am a Brad Thor fan. Story moves along at a good pace and mixes up the plot in an effective manner.
Too long for that
I really enjoy Brad Thor. His books are always page turners, the kind where it is difficult to put down.
Just love listing to audiobooks. Some of my favorite authors are Vince Flynn and Brad Thor
at the very top
Once again Scott Harvath. Just another book the took the character to the next level.

I cried at the end when Tracy was shot.

Yes, what you would call a page turner.
Can't point to just one.
