GReat story.. i really enjoyed this book.. i especially liked how the main character had a mind of his own and thanks to all that money he got to finally make it up.. good listen. great narrator. i give it two 2 dollar scratch offs.
Any book I listen to more than 3 times gets a 5! You root for the most loving, sensitive main character and you just want to protect him throuout the entire storyline. A must listen. Its slow but so is he and its okay.
I loved the narration and the quirky story about a young man who has mild mental retardation- the author captures the nuances of the disability and how others interact with him: family and friends. I found myself rooting for him, and in the end he's happy. I like happy endings.
I loved this book. Perry, Keith and Gary remind the reader of the goodness of human beings. The narrator is excellent. I still hear Perry, Gram and Keith in my head days after finishing this delightful, hopeful novel.
A book I can recommend to all readers with all sensitivities. Although a little bit predictable, the story was full of delightful characters. Even weeks later I still hear pearls of wisdom ringing in my ears from Perry's marvelous little entourage. The narration was one of the best I've enjoyed lately.
I'm sure this would be a very enjoyable book if you could ignore the profanity. There are about 5 "GD's" in just the 1st few minutes. I couldn't go any further. If I knew there wouldn't be any more, I would probably would try again.
Wow, I really didn't like this book. What a waste of a credit. I wish I could get my credit back. This was horrible. Horrible is when you really don't like something! Get a different book.
