you should get this book. it's sweet, hearwarming and real. it just reflects how awful people can be, but by contrast and balance how awesome as well. it's one of the better one's i've listened to.
The book is cute... and acute - the way words and phrases are repeated is a literary devise of some form I suppose, but it gets a bit tiresome. I almost ditched the book after the first hour due to the monotone narration and repetitive dialog. I kept listening and it turned out to be an entertaining book in the end. The characters gain depth as the book progresses, which I wasn't sure would happen. It does make you think about what things have "value" in your life. As expected, the low IQ of the main character does not mean he has low "life wisdom." A sort of "out of the mouth's of babes" book.
We really enjoyed listening to this...until he won the lottery, then things slowed down and got far too detailed. This would've been a knockout win with more solid editing.
This book is a warm, funny and poignant story that moved me. Emotional rendition of how it feels to be a "special needs" person who is honest, loving, trusting and kind but who manages to make great, wise choices and find happiness. This book is filled with wisdom and grace! Highly recommended!

This book was excellently delivered and offered beautiful insight into the mind of a man with an IQ of 76. It demonstrates the sad reality of where too many place their priorities.
Everything! Do yourself a favor and listen to this delightful story
I can't find one and I keep hoping Patricia Wood will have a new one out soon
I have never listened to him before but found his narration utterly enjoyable
Perry L. Crandell, of course! We can all learn from him
One of the top 10 books I've ever read or listened to!
