the first two were great, and i will listen to book 4, but this one went off the rails early and just never got much better. perhaps her publisher had a deadline or something, but it seemed like everything from chapter 3 to 11 or so was useless fluff. everyday tasks and lost plot line. culminating with the rape and subsequent public embatrassment of the main character, i was left wondering if the author had a more serious issue with the publisher and if this was retribution. generally...just not good. and i was dissappointed by the repetitive borrowed theme across many of these fantasy books with female leads. two males pining away for the same woman while she cant make up her mind, solves the crime, and then sorta chooses while the males patiently wait without fighting. naieve and ridiculous. i really enjoyed the author's werewolf series, and this was doing well right up to book 3. heres hoping 4 gets back on track. suggest skipping this one and just getting the recap in 4.
Love Patricia Briggs and Sherrilyn Kenyon and J.R Ward
I love this audible and I love that they use the same person for all of Mercy Thompson series. Patricia Briggs is one of the best. I read her books and listen to the audible over and over again
I love PNR's but will listen to a good thriller, fantasy and Sci-fi any day!
I am so mad at myself for waiting so long to listen to these books. They are awesome and I am enjoying them so much and will continue the series until I get caught up!
Iron Kissed was great. The reading was excellent. I was kept on the edge of my seat through out the entire reading.
I really enjoy the independence of the female characters who live in a male dominated world. The suspense over the decisions that are to be made are just as interesting as the 'who done it'.
If you like supernatural you will enjoy Patricia Briggs. I personally like the werewolf stories but not as much the vampire . But overall good combination of touchy and funny.
I don't know.
Probably not. In addition to disliking the end, there is way too much internal dialogue, especially, during key moments throughout the book- it was annoying and distracting.
I wasn't awed, but she was fine.
Mercy's actions towards the end were naive and the consequces of those actions were extremely upsetting. I will not continue reading this series.
