I never review anything but this book was so boring omg!! The story promises to be interesting I love Nora Roberts, all the books I've read of hers have been enjoyable but damn this book dragged so much! And the main character Stella oh lord what an annoying character. The only reason I'm finishing the series is because I already bought it.
Whoa, Nora Roberts knows how to reel you in. Addicting, going to purchase book two right now. Fantastic storyline with believable characters. Going to be a winner series.
I am a salesperson on the road everyday, mother of 2 grown children. Happily married
I enjoyed this book. It checked off all the boxes. I think I'll have to get the next
When my Mom was passing in 2005 I read this trilogy to her. I couldn't wait to rush to her bedside to read to her. Each page made us happy. Recently I downloaded this and enjoyed it in a whole new way.
Learning about gardening fascinates me and how it is such a part of the book. I want a Blue Dahila now
Pretty cool scene with the room having ice barriers.
When Hailey gave birth, I truly felt like it was a journey I was on with them. Truly made me smile and yes almost cry.
Susie Breck the narrator truly individualized every single character. I LOVE HER PERFORMANCE. It was easy to follow, her transitions were seamless, just couldn't wait to drive to work and listen to her.
This is the beginning of a typical Nora Roberts trilogy. I really loved all the characters. I'm not totally sold on the supernatural element, but I'm willing to see how it plays out in the rest of the trilogy. The narration was good until the climax, when all the characters started to sound the same. I definitely want to listen to the rest of the trilogy because I want to see what happens to the characters.
I would recommend the book...just not the audio book
I love NR, but the narator made this book hard to listen to. Unfortunately I was stuck at an airport for 8 hours...
No, oh god please never again!
Nope, my ears are still bruised from all of the bad, fake southern accents and creepy childrens voices...
This was a great way to do two of my favorite things, read and crochet. The story was colorful and well told. The spooky parts had me crocheting faster and holding my breath!
It is a beautiful romance.
I love gardening and a good romance and this was a widow with young children to which I could relate. Stella's character could actually be any one of us mothers. But if you are looking for a scary ghost story this is not it. The way the story is told it is not even closed to being a scary story at all. If anything you will feel sorry for the Herper Bride ghost by the end of the novel.
If you have an interest in gardening, landscaping, propagation, or cross pollination Nora Roberts paints beautiful pictures or all of these processes. She does this using Miss. Roz who runs her surroundings from her beautiful gardens, her loved one's lives surrounding the gardens, and her love for the old house.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading Blue Dahlia. It's a delightful love story with interesting characters including, Amelia, the convoluted ghost.
I like to listen to books!
She does very well with voices and feeling.
This book had its sad parts The beggining couple chapters especially. The story is well told. This one is told from the perspective of Stella. We get her story, and at the end the characters r just finding out a little about who the harper bride ghost really was. So there is a cliffhanger on that part.
The narrator does well, but maybe a little slow. I listened at faster speed.
So I'm conclusion this isn't a stand alone. U will have to buy the other books to get the whole ghost s story.
Worth a credit? Yes!
