I didn't read the book, but I enjoy listening to it because I can accomplish other tasks while I listen to it.
Sarah was my favorite because she was so complex. She had a lot of baggage but managed to be good hearted and honest and continued to grow and change into a productive and respectable member of society.
I liked the changes in her voice for the different characters -----good inflection. I usually prefer male readers but I liked her
Amazing Love---I don't know:)
This was still a pretty explicit romance novel, but it was done tastefully. Though it was meant to symbolize God's love for us, I got wrapped up in the romance novel part and only briefly thought about its symbolic properties.
I would definitely read this story again. I thought her "Mark of the Lion" was an awesome story, but this story is just as great. I love the unconditional love Michael had shown to Angel over the years. I love the Christian values and the references to biblical stories in the Bible. Even though the stories are set back in past times, they still make me believe that people would still have the same Christian virtues in this day and age. I guess her stories give Christians hope in this world.
All of Francine Rivers' books that I've read so far are just as thought-provoking and heart-warming.
I have to say that I enjoyed Kate Forbes' narration more than the gentleman that read the "Mark of the Lion" series. But the performance of both did not take away from either story.
This story made me cry a few times.
Can someone please tell Francine Rivers to use another word other than "sardonically", if I hear that word one more time I'm going to scream! But the novels are great just the same.
hooked listener cant believe it.Great way to pass time truck driver
when she finally commited her life to christ

reviving the soul

Michael Hoesia, the unconditional love he has for Angel as well as his love for the Lord
I purchased the original book and read it, I loved it so much I made my friends read it... I lent it out so much I lost track of who currently has the hard copy.
Listening to the book brings out a new side of the characters.
A great listen and an emotional journey.
I thought this was a good story even though, at times, it was a heavy topic. I think is was well written and performed in an excellent manner. I would recommend it to mature audiences.
The story was told very realistically. It was not sugar-coated on the topic of prostitution, incest and rape.
Kate has wonderful character voicing and is well-paced. It made the book come alive for me.
This book gave me a heaviness and a burden for those who live today in this situation. It should move me and I would think there is something wrong if I wasn't disturbed by the content.
Ok, yes, I confess. I'm another paranormal geek.
This story is hard to listen to at times, because the author writes about the human heart so beautifully with undeniable accuracy. How quickly we turn to doubt and fear, even when we are given a chance for redemption and even love. I recommend this to anyone.
To those women with sensitive sexual histories, please be aware that is a large part of the storyline. It may be difficult to listen to, but push on! The end is worth it and you'll come out full of hope!!
Francine Rivers is a truly gifted author, I have yet to find a book I do not like of hers.
I've enjoyed other historical novels that have a religious theme (The Red Tent, People of the Book) but this one was just too preachy for me. I have to agree with the reviewers who found Michael Hosea too perfect and a bit creepy! Very disturbing that so many people see his obsession with Angel/Amanda as unconditional love.
Yes. this is awesome.I love this book a lot. It was wonderful hearing this.
Michael Hosea, He depict a perfect example of Jesus Christ and He love for mankind
Yes, she did a wonderful job. I enjoyed reading the book, while listen to the audio book.
This was wonderful
