Ok, yes, I confess. I'm another paranormal geek.
This story is hard to listen to at times, because the author writes about the human heart so beautifully with undeniable accuracy. How quickly we turn to doubt and fear, even when we are given a chance for redemption and even love. I recommend this to anyone.
To those women with sensitive sexual histories, please be aware that is a large part of the storyline. It may be difficult to listen to, but push on! The end is worth it and you'll come out full of hope!!
Francine Rivers is a truly gifted author, I have yet to find a book I do not like of hers.
I've enjoyed other historical novels that have a religious theme (The Red Tent, People of the Book) but this one was just too preachy for me. I have to agree with the reviewers who found Michael Hosea too perfect and a bit creepy! Very disturbing that so many people see his obsession with Angel/Amanda as unconditional love.
Yes. this is awesome.I love this book a lot. It was wonderful hearing this.
Michael Hosea, He depict a perfect example of Jesus Christ and He love for mankind
Yes, she did a wonderful job. I enjoyed reading the book, while listen to the audio book.
This was wonderful
I appreciated the depths of the characters and the various twists and turns within the plot.
Michael - He was a loving person who followed the Lord's guidance even when he did not understand, and even when it caused him great pain.
She tells the story as if she is reading it for herself and not for others. I struggled with Forbes' very wooden presentation.
A love worth finding!
YES! I have already listened twice and could listen again. This book so touched my heart on so many levels.
For me there were many but the concept was the same for each. That concept was asking, listening, obeying. Asking God for His guidance, listening to His response and then obeying against all odds.
The 2 main characters were my favorite equally. Hosea for how he represented / reflected God's love and Angel for how she represented / reflected our response to God's love.
Too many to recount here!
Absolutely loved this book! It may be my favorite from this author!
The ending. The fact that this was based on a true story was incredible. Such an all encompasing love story that will make you cry with happiness. I recommend this book all the time. A great read.
Very inspiring and heartwarming
It had just the right amount of scriptural content
Yes but had to listen in several sittings
Totally loved it
Guy with Weird Interests
I'm a guy who just recently became more involved in the church. I wanted to read some Christian literature, and almost passed this book up because it seemed geared towards women. I was a great book about forgiveness. I also really enjoyed Francine Rivers other book Atonement Child.
From beginning to the end I was captivated by the story. Through this book I was reminded of God's everlasting love for us, I gained hope and faith to let go and let God.
