Tom Stechschulte is one of very favorite narrators and he brings this story to life. Dee Henderson has done it again in this story of small town life, strikes and drugs. Loved it. I have both read this story and listened to it and I know I will be repeating this process often because the book is just that good. And with Tom narrating it, I could listen to it forever!!!
I'm honestly not sure what to think about this book. It's so different from anything else she has ever written. It's doesn't really have an ending which leaves you wondering if there is going to be a follow-up book. The main character has two men interested but she never really makes a choice. I hate to say it because I LOVE Dee Henderson but this one was not very good at all.
Excellent book. Just finished it and I wish she write a sequel, characters are good and believable, Also nice to listen without a lot of sex and bad language.
The story isn't bad but it's interspersed with many religious references - mostly conservative protestant ones - so if you are not interested in your listening to be in that genre as I am not, then do not buy this one.
The book was interesting, with pretty good character development - then it just end... very very anticlimactically. It just works itself out in a very boring way... lots of loose end probably for a sequel. MY ADVICE... don't listen until there is a sequel to conclude the story because she doesn't really conclude ANYTHING in this book. I felt I wasted my time on the unstory...
GIVE IT A CLIMAX>>> THERE IS ZERO CLIMAX
The story is incomplete- no climax
Move on to a different book
