While mildly entertaining, the story was a cookie-cutter outlandish-yet-predictable kidnapping story. It was my first Baldacci and likely to be my last unless I hear overwhelmingly that this story is an outlier from an otherwise decent author.
another very interesting and fun listening to book I would suggest it to anyone who like suspense and drama with a little comedy thrown in
Reading is so fulfilling!
interesting story with plenty of twists ( and twisted characters). impressively strong female characters. good read.
I liked it but started losing track of who's who toward the end. The author needs to provide an org chart with all the players. But the org chart would need curved lines, dotted lines and ramps to keep this one in order.
I really liked the story. The reading went mostly well. But occasionally there were long gaps at semi random places. And there were often no pauses between different conversations or settings. And that made it a bit difficult to follow. Otherwise it was great.
I loved the narrator and the mystery in the story. What did bother me was the authors lack of knowledge of firearms. For example: Semi-automatic rifles no longer use"clips" and a revolver doesn't take a magazine.
