In this book, Ann republishes many of her skewers of the liberal left, and with great wit and precision, exposes the weakness in their flanks. A hilarious, rollercoaster read.
Audible should be able to cross-reference the one star listeners to see if they actually bought, let alone listened to the book, I doubt it 'cause this book is HOT! There is no other author that I await more than Coulter because of her biting and witty style. If you are a liberal let me give you a suggestion, DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK! You will come away with two black eyes and a bloody nose, not to mention the hurt "feelings. She is vicious, pulls no punches and best of all, spits on political correctness.
No nonsense men who are sick of walking on eggshells will love this book. She lets the cat out of the bag on her debate strategies which many, go along to get along politicians unfortunately ignore.
I caught myself laughing out loud on many occasions as she taunts the left with her well thought out and logical arguments.
Very interesting read. Since each article is about 10 - 15 minutes long, I would find myself popping it in to listen to 1 or 2 articles and, a couple hours later, still listening.
Her biting, insightful commentary will have you laughing out loud in the car or wherever you are listening. You have to give it to her, she pulls no punches.
My advice, get the abridged version where Ann reads all the articles.
This book is a collection of Ann Coulter's columns from the past 10 years or so. Most of them have been published already so much of it is a rehash.
There's also some unpubished columns that we get to hear for the first time.
She's funny, sarcastic and accurate! Great to listen to and unlike much of the left-wing naysayers, it's researched and much of the columns are based on articles written by others in the liberal media...
Unfortunately, I have read this book. The only words she forgets to place preceding all her sentences are ?And I THINK?. Most of her knowledge comes from watching too much TV; even then it seems she listens to half the news. The hot keys that she presses are religion, politics and racial profiling (Current topics in Media), and hopes that she will trigger an immense reaction to elevate her to the climax of her fame. She has seen this happening in the media lately with the news paper article in Africa about Mohammed.
Basically, this book is a reflection of an author how is ignorant, misinformed, influenced by mass media and desperately lacking knowledge and common sense. I have fail to see how this book will bring any peace and understanding of different cultures and religion to this world which it is in desperate need of now. Reading this book makes me realize why our country is divided and is being further divided. She needs to set back and reflect on her morals and gain positive knowledge. Then put that to good use by making our country a better place for all of us.
Ann Coulter is one of those media pundits who thrive on the "us vs. them" mentality - you are either a conservative or a liberal and if you are the latter, then you are a miserable, loathsome moral degenerate. That is nothing new since most commentators fall into one of the two categories, but what sets Coulter apart is her vicious and unapologetic nature. Her latest book is merely a collection of her columns written during the last five years. Some of them were so outrageous that they were refused publication by USA Today, National Review, etc. Coulter's condescending smugness and sometimes humorous (but desperate) one-liners grow tiresome *very* quickly. Only hard core conservatives who revel in vitriolic idealogical self affirmation will truly enjoy this book; if conservative talk radio makes you warm and fuzzy inside, plunk down your coin here. If, however, you're tired of body-slamming right-wing vapid babble like this, check out a genuinely thoughtful, articulate and smart convervative writer like George F. Will.
I'm just an ordinary average guy.
Pundits at either extreme end of the political spectrum spout all kinds of nonsense, useless rhetoric and insults. Some are very straight forward about it and some do it with real style as does Ann Coulter. If this book were seen more as "political humor" than some kind of serious critique of the liberal mindset, I'd give it a 5 without hesitation, because Coulter is very witty and delivers many memorable lines, but her conclusions are rarely based on any kind of evidence and serious analysis of readily available evidence. This is a very funny book as long as you don't take it seriously.
Ann is on the money again with this book. It is shame some of these columns didn't appear on the pages of some our "esteemed" newspapers. Ann doesn't take any prisoners in this one and that's the way I like it. No PC for AC!!
I don't agree with everything she had to say but it was a fun book that stimulated alot of thought. I would recommend this book to all. If you lean to the right, it will be fun. If you lean to the left, it will only anger you. But hearing the other side is good for you.
