The story and narration were excellent! Because of this book, I got my Audible All Nighter badge. I couldn't stop until I finished it in the wee hours of the morning. Bought the 2nd book soon after.
Most definitely, I'm certain that there are details I missed and I loved the narrator's tone of voice and expression.
To Kill a Mockingbird because of the similarities of a dire and helpless situation. I enjoy stories where good is conflicted with evil, and all is not as it seems.
No, but I just ordered the next two books in the series...so I am looking forward to the time spent with her voice!
When Rue was killed. Enough said.
This was an amazing book, my daughter, a sophomore in high school and avid reader, recommended it to me. I loved it!
The story line had me hanging on each word. I could not wait for those times in my vehicle because that is where i listened most.
So Suzanne Collins is no Aldous Huxley, George Orwell, or ...*coughs...Richard Bachman, but The Hunger Games was pretty sweet, I've always enjoyed the concept of characters reacting in response to observation.
Collins has written a story about a society gone amok. It's filled with interesting characters and a story line that kept me interested enough to have listened to this several times. Well worth the money.
You're not sure at first but then you really feel for her and you don't want to stop llistening to it. Great book and the narrative also.
The best narration I've heard. I felt like I was in the arena! I dodged fire balls when Katniss did! My heart raced when hers did! Finished this one the day after I started & I'm downloading 'Catching Fire' as we speak. Don't pass this book up.
Great story that kept me on the edge of my seat. If I could have listened to it alll at the same time I would have!
