Addicted to Audible since 2009
This is a good book with some really good advice that definitely helped make me a better person and I really found many of the tips very helpful but the many God references were extremely annoying and certainly hurt in my overall liking of this book.
I really love Wayne Dyer so I liked this book. BUT...parts are a bit far out there and seem to go on and on. It was OK for me but I think some people would might not be as tolerant. Not your typical 'practical tips' but good.
I most liked the way Wayne removed many of the reasons for resorting to excuses. I least liked the reference to a vague spiritual being controlling our lives. Its a bit "spiritual" for my logical way of thinking
Clear, engaging and smooth
Recognise the excuse making I do on a daily basis and to try and stop it
Just to set the record straight, I reviewed Meditation and Psychotherapy accidently as another book I got, unfortunately it will not allow me to change anything but the stars, Audible said you cannot change it or delete. the book is AWESOME! Tara Brach is Awesome! The book I was rating I returned and was aweful. sorry
Yes, because I learn from it each time I read it, it transformed my life!
Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle, because it also teaches how to stop living in yesterday and projecting into the future. I recommend Wayne Dyer before Tolle as Tolle went over my head until I read a few of Dyers books.
yes. I have listened to most of Wayne Dyers, I am partial to this one because it was the catalyst that started my awakening and getting out of my negative thinking pattern.
I wanted to but could not, too much to absorb.
The first time I read this was about a year ago in Kindle format, I was in deep depression and had suffered from it most of my adult life, having had a bad childhood and broken marriage, i made an identity for myself from it and didnt know it, This book showed me how I was creating my own suffering by the power of my thoughts! I highly recommend anyone ready for a drastic change in their lives to get this book, the audible or the paper back Just get it! For Christians, be open to other beliefs it doesnt mean you have to change your spirtitual life, it means it will enhance it, whatever you dont believe toss it but dont let it stop you from reading this book. I have been a christian a long time but still suffered from my self induced suffering, no more! Excuses are gone! Thank you Wayne Dyer
No, print version is better.
Too many to list here. It was hard to stay focused at times, but the content was so good that I did my best.
His voice was a little too monotone for me. I like to watch Dr Wayne's videos, would imagine seeing him live is awesome, love his books, and really love his material.
An eye and mind opening book. How easily we sabotage our lives with excuses. Wayne does a great job of helping the reader eliminate excuses for not living in harmony with our higher being. Excellent book!
I have a rather eclectic love of books. I know what I like and I tend not to be a severe critic. If I enjoyed it, it gets 4 or 5 stars.
Dr. Dyer is a great read and he has a great voice as well. I enjoyed the book very much and I recommend it to anyone who is trying to move past all the mediocrity in life. He is very inspirational.
To hear Wayne's story and perspective on excuses is RIGHT ON! I thank our Divine God for blessing (us) and me with his story and forward thinking. Blessings
Forward thinking is a necessity in life to move forward. Connecting with God and listening to our inner spirit:) Yummy
Humble Human and being real.
Thank you Wayne Dyer, may our paths cross one day:) Divine Guidance, listen, be present and Love. Blessings to all reading this!!
I'm a huge Wayne Dyer fan and have many of his books in audio form. It makes a wonderful solution to drive time listening. I focus on something positive and lose the road rage. I love his reading style because he sounds so conversational and not like many authors who don't seem to know their own writings. I highly recommend it.
I read a review that commented that he read to fast. I disagree and guess that's a matter of taste. I would also say that one of the great things about an audio book is that you can rewind if you don't get it the first time. I usually listen to my "positive thinking" books more than once because I always seem to get more with repeated listening!
I liked the audio better.
Yes, one of his best.
Use the ideas to live a better life.
