I feared this book would just be a silly retelling of celebrity gossip - but sometimes a lighthearted audiobook is what I'm looking for, so I got it anyway.
The very personal stories from her actual life blew me away. Was not expecting that.
I liked Kathy Griffin before. I think I might actually love her now!
p.s. andy dick story ....f-ing PERFECT.
p.p.s. not giving it 5 stars because (((and i know this is tiresome to hear)) Tina Fey's similar book was just so much better. But, Tina's book is better than EVERY book in its category, so i realize this is an unfair comparison :)
Who knew this woman had such a past? I really enjoyed it, I feel closer to my gay loving crazy fantastic woman.
This was such a fun listen. I love Kathy Griffin's humor and this was full of it. I also really appreciated the personal stories of vulnerability. I just wanted to gobble it up! I need another one, Kathy!!
I can't imagine reading a book like this, you simply must hear it straight from the source.
I love Kathy Griffin! This book gets into some serious material, so it's not all laughs and giggles. But her life story is pretty interesting and I must say I am impressed with her work ethic. There are some pretty hilarious stories in here, especially her account of an Andy Dick performance at a college, I nearly fell over with laughter.
This book was so funny that it literally made me belly laugh at certain points. If you follow Kathy you pretty much know most of this stuff already, but it's great to hear it from her in story form.
PS - Suck it jesus!
Kathy's storytelling is funny, charming, amusing, and very personal. It is like she is sitting next to you and the two of you are just chatting and laughing hysterically.
Kathy's personal recounting of her experiences with celebrities.
Yes, definitely! I stopped listening to podcasts so I could finish her audiobook quickly. Then I listened to it again.
