AUDIBLE MAKES READING POSSIBLE AND EASY FOR ME...I AM VISUALLY IMPAIRED. I WISH THEY HAD ALL THE BOOKS I WANT I WOULD SNAP THEM UP!
I PROBABLY WILL LISTEN TO IT AGAIN. I LIKED THE STORY.
THE RESEARCH THAT WAS DONE. YOU GET A REAL PICTURE OF HOW THE FLDS OPERATES AND HOW THE FLDS TREATS WOMAN LIKE THEY ARE MEAT.
I LIKED THE READING SO THIS IS NOT A CRITICISM. BUT NO CHARACTER STOOD OUT AS THE BEST. IT WAS JUST READ. BUT IT WAS A GOOD READ!
FLDS A CULT FROM HELL.
I LIKED THE EXTRA TIDBIT OF THE AUTHOR. IT WAS AN ENJOYABLE READ.
I want to read a book a day. I think audi0book is the way!
I listened to the long version. I heard it all clearly. I would recommend this one. I am not sure I could listen to it again. It had lots of details.
I have read all the Ervil Le Baron stories too. I did find this one to be better story.
I was able to read the whole book in three days all clearly. She was fast.
Yes,the fairy tale like approach to the story where main character was the princess and so many evil ogre husbands in it, a prince, child molesters and wicked sister wives.
I'm a bibliophile since early childhood. Love speculative fiction, odd premises, mystery novels that teach about different places and times.
Very well written bio about a woman who fled from her FLDS home with her children. It's a tale about broken dreams and deep courage. I enjoyed it very much
I've been exploring bully situations, and this is a fascinating study of that, without meaning to be. Absolute power does absolutely corrupt.
Educator for 40 years. Teacher of children with disabilities. Now an administrator. Love to listen to books during 45 minute drive time.
This book was hard to hear but a compelling listen. I felt as though I was hearing both the story and feeing the pain at the same time. An unbelievable ordeal.
This is a fascinating story altho not real well written. But the reader is pretty bad. She has a juvenile voice, overenunciates and acts as though she's in a speech contest rather than reading a real life thriller.
I really enjoyed this book. Like so many others, I probably would not have found it had the church not been in the news. And as I said in another review, the Bible teaches us that polygamy never ends well -- for anyone.
I admire Carolyn. She seems like the kind of person who would be a good friend to have. I wish her all the best.
I will never forget this book. An amazing story and am so glad that Carolyn shared this with all of us. It really made me feel like she was a regular person like you or me (someone you could really be comfortable around and with). The way she told everything was so real and honest.
I hope she is doing well and am so glad that she was able to be blessed, by yes, God, to have been given this honourable path in life.
