I was so excited when I heard that Natalie and Phil would be co-narrating Dreamfever, and I was not disappointed! I found Natalie to be more believable as Mac, and Phil's voice gives me chills (in a good way)! The story, well, what can we say? Cliffhanger ending... not unexpected. We find out answers to some questions, but they are replaced with more (again, not unexpected). KMM will have a lot of ends to tie together, but I look forward to seeing how she does it with Shadowfever. The wait for the next book will be excruciating, but I think it will be worth it in the end!
Another great installment in the Fever series. I truly enjoyed the pairing of these 2 narrators. Mr. Gigante - you have Jericho making us ALL purr like kittens. I can't wait for the next (and, sadly, final) book in this series
I loved the fourth installment of this series! The change in narrator was a blessing. I enjoyed Natalie Ross and Phil Gigante so much! They were awesome at portraying all of Fever characters! I cannot wait until next year for Shadowfever!!!!!
I have listened to this 4 book series one book after another and I for one love the change in narrators. Nobody can beat Phil Gigante doing KMM's leading men! He makes this book the best listen in the series. I am also enjoying Natalie Ross very much. With Joyce Bean I kept hearing Blair Mallory from Linda Howard's To Die For getting mixed up with MacKayla, it was disconcerting. Natalie Ross is much more to my liking, she may pronounce Rowena's name wrong but finally V'lane's name is being said correctly in this book!
Really enjoyed the story. Laughed out loud at a few parts. Looking forward to the next book in this series. Not crazy about the female narrator, but she got the job done.
I do think the HUGE change in Mac was a little over the top....also...although I'm sure Ms. Ross is a fine narrator in other books this one wasn't for her. no accent for Mac and as another reviewer pointed out she said Rowena different everyother time Row e na Row in a... and Phil Gigante is not right for barrons..he is the voice for all the highlander books and it totally threw me. i loved this series and if both of them are back for the next book I can't say I'll listen
I had avoided downloading the first 3 books in the Fever series because the narrator's accent was annoying...and I'm southern! The book was very well-narrated. Barrons was narrated differently than I had imagined him, but it was easy to get over. Mac was right on. KMM did a fantastic job, though I don't think I'm going to ever forgive her for the cliff-hanger ending! I'm so glad I listened to this as opposed to reading it. Worth every cent!
Great book, I love that a male voice was added to the series. The switch to Natalie Ross took a bit to get used to, but overall the narration was very good.
The fourth book in the "Fever" series is action packed, as all the others have been, but this one sacrifices moving the story along to one action scene after another. No questions are answered, and the cliff-hanger ending is the ultimate in frustration for those of us who have followed the series. I too, miss Joyce Bean-she has become the voice of Mac for me. This recording seems have a lot of reverb too. While I got used to it after awhile, the narrators sounded like they were at the bottom of a well most of the time. Very odd for a voice recording. I love this series but I can only give this download 3 stars.
