Whilst I enjoyed the book and generally agree with comments made by other reviewers, I also felt that the exposition came over as somewhat 'twee' and 'hyper'. I simply cannot believe that everything about Google and its development is so extraordinary and everyone concerned is so 'excited' about it all the time. A more balanced presentation would have included a bit more of the down side.
On balance a good listen but too sweet for my taste.
If you're at all interested in Google's history and future direction, this is a great audio book. It's interesting through-out and well paced. I also really enjoy the narrator - he's got an "easy to listen to" voice.
This is book has great insight into a great story. Well done. I highly recommend this book.
this is one of the worst books I have ever downloaded from audible.the author sounds like a paid advertisement for google. Google has been a major success story, and has changed the way we use the web, but instead of a fact based review of the google and it's history this reads like a come to the alter of the google gods.
Admittedly I'm in the business of e-business so a deep look at Google was naturally going to be of interest. What surprised me most where/are the sheer metrics of this enterprise. Learns lots enough I know lots about it. The 10+ hours flew by.
