Karin Slauters book are predictable. This was my fourth book of hers that I read. Three were Grant County and one was Will Trent. the main characters keep gettng hurt and they are law enforcers. The victims are all women and horrendous things are done to them which is gross. The stories are interesting as is the reader..
the story was great
The narration was pretty good, but the audio was muffled.
the audio was kind of muffled sounding.
I liked that Sara was brought into this series. I was devasted by Sara's loss in the Grant county series. This book stayed true to the twist and turns mystery and answered my questions about Sara and Jeffrey.
I stumbled over Karin's books by accident. Boy, am I glad I did. Love her detail and her deranged mind!! Keeps me on the edge of my seat and I can't get enough!! A must listen!! I am starting my book 3!!
Karin keeps me company on my daily long walks. Love her story lines and know I am always in for surprises. Grisly murders coupled with forensics and love stories make for a great read/listen. I recommend Karin to all looking for a can't put down thriller.
Will and Faith's growing relationship and their personal struggles while hunting a madman inflicting horrors on unsympathetic victims.
Will, of course. He's a complex character with a unique fatal flaw (or three). I have as much empathy for him as I have confidence in him.
I don't want to provide any spoiler alerts but the pivotal chapter in which the bad guy is revealed was so tightly written and paced that I couldn't stop listening and I may have been shouting out loud. There was no one around to prove (or disprove) so I don't have to cop to that.
I was moved when Will was forced to acknowledge the hold his wife has over him. And, again when he admits this to Faith, proving how much he now trusts her.
None, because I have to immediately download the next book in this series.
