I enjoyed this book a lot! This is the first book I have heard by Karin Slaughter. It was captivating! Will definitely buy another one of her books!
"Undone" brings in the personalities and pasts of some of my favorite characters in fiction. As far as suspense, it continues throughout the entire novel while still holding the interest with the relationship dynamics that constantly evolve. This one made me go back to some of the previous novels with these fascinating characters to further explore what makes them tick! I loved it!
From the introductory scene to the ending, this will keep your attention. Excellent!
I am enjoying Karin Slaughter's work. However, I am happy I read the reviews on the books before I listened to them; Undone should be listed BEFORE Broken, not AFTER as it is in audible 'view series'. I would have been disappointed to have read them in the wrong order.
I am enjoying the unveiling of Will Trent and Amanda Wagner.
By all means read the reviews for, "Broken." The book is in the wrong order. I'm not sure if the author chose to have us read it in this order of if someone at Audible has made a mistake but it should be switched. "Broken" needs to be #3 in the series and "Undone" should be #4. I wish I would have read through the reviews to find that out but I purchased it right away and looked at the reviews later on.
Book was good and yes, it was more descriptive in the violence but the story was good and the ending was surprising, just what a thriller/mystery book should be. I don't think anyone would be disappointed using a credit or paying outright for this book.
I enjoy listening to great detective mysterie & also great thrillers. I enjoy books also by Vince Flynn, David Baldaci including assasins.
Mysterious with a shocker ending.
YES. Lots of twists and turns.
Will and Faith finding the vacant home.
I'm going to read the next one!
This was a very good listen well worth a credit. The story makes sense, pretty much rounds itself out with only a few exceptions. The characters are likeable and well written, the story doesn't get boring. The narration is exceptional. I have never heard Natalie Ross narrate before and at first I was like.. oh dear what did I do.. but give her a minute and you will be caught in her reading. I;m not usually a fan of women doing male voices but she did it very well so it didn't want to shut it off mid sentence. Good story. Good Narration. Well worth the money.
This is my first listen to both author and narrator. I disliked the narrator at first but soon got used to her rhythm. The author did a good job of telling a mostly unbelievable story and making it sound credible. Real crime has been this bad but not by much. But that???s what I read fiction for, to see how an author takes a truly unreal story and tells it so you believe it really happened.
Sure. I mostly read series but I did like the pace of this book and would like to experience more of Slaughter???s work.
Like I said, it took me some time to warm up to her style of narration, about a chapter or 2. Her character voices weren???t as differentiated as I have been used to but she did do a good job. Her male voices were well done for a female voice, but I have heard better from other narrators.
No. I did take a few days to get through it. But you could do it in one day>
I wouldn't listen to it again, because I already listened to it.
Part of the story was never explained.
It sounded good.
No, I did not have an extreme reaction to this book.
