I have read and listened to hundreds of books. I have not practiced much meditation. I do, however, consider myself well read. This process of alignment is inclusive, thorough, and heart felt. It is one of the few programs that I have listened to over and over again weekly. I have had it for a month now, and I feel like the process they teach has made a real difference in my day to day life. I relate better to myself, my kids, and my students. (I teach college English). I would love to use parts of this to teach critical thinking to my students.
I would listen to "The Vortex" again because there is so much information on so many different levels that you could listen to it again and again for the first time.
The perspective on raising kids was particularly enlightening.
Yes, I have listened to many other programs by Esther and Jerry Hicks. This one is great because it is packed with great advice.
The basic point of the book is that we create our own reality by the thoughts we think. It's the simplest and most difficult process to control.
In a sea of negativity, It's great to hear positive, uplifting advice that can have a profound effect on your life for the better.
Of all the Abraham/Hicks books I have purchased this one was very disappointing! Monotone and monotonous!
Of course, generally I love them. The hype for this one didnt add up to the content unfortunately.
Yes....it would be great as I am a huge follower of this issue.
The vortex fell short of my expectations....I love most Abe/Hicks books....Jerry Hicks sounded as if he had a plugged up nose throughout and it was annoying to listen to! The content was repeatious also.
I picked this audible book up because I kind of liked some of the messages in the book called "The Secret" (which was about the law of attraction). So I figured this might have some more insight and I would find it interesting. I was wrong! I couldn't even listen past the first 60 minutes. This was way too "out there" - too esoteroic - more so than the Secret. There was about 10 minutes of a very repetitive . . . "Before your birth . . . you knew that . . . blah blah blah . . . and here your are. Before your birth, you knew that . . . and here you are . . . and here you are . . . and here you are." I usually force myself to listen to an audible book I paid money for, but in this case, I had no hesitation about hitting the pause and then the delete on my smartphone. Save yourself $15 and don't bother.
Must read for anyone wanting to gather further insights into relationships...and maintaining them joyously ....
Heard many abraham videos on you tube ..this is my first abraham book/cd/audio.........and its awesome ....
kindly note : U must be hungry to know what makes relationships click and hungry to gather insights into how u need to/ can improve further.....only then this book will be worth it.......
Gave me amazing insights which I could relate to from my experiences and now I choose what works for me from all those insights...
Also Thank u 2 audible..for making this available so inexpensive...
I have read Ask and It Is Given, by the Abraham-Hicks team, and listened to The Astonishing Power of Emotions audiobook. Each one of those books played a key role in my life at that time. This book is no exception.
The information is presented in a fun and inspiring way and the examples are so applicable to my everyday life.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who is a student of the Universe.
Thanks Abraham, Jerry, and Esther!
Yes, I have already listened it a few times.
This is one of my favorites.
Monitor your emotions and get into the vortex back again everytime you fall out.
Credibility was lost somewhat for me, after mention of Jerry & Esther's $2M bus. The message is compelling, but the entire book is merely a regurgitation of the same premise in different sentence structures. I got the feeling that the many repetitions of the same theme throughout many of the Hicks' teachings is merely a way to re-brand the same content for money. I hope I'm wrong. There's also an affect to Esther's voice, that gnaws at me, which is why I typically seek other teachers on similar topics.
Yes, a lot of insight regarding the power of positive thinking
Abraham... Just like 'em
The question and answer format initially threw me off but I learned to appreciate it rather quickly
Thoughts create your life
This book has bones (ideas not readily digestible or just outlandish) but it's worth getting through. The things that resonated with me where the things I could line up with the Bible.
