1st audiobook I listened to. Got me hooked.
The hitman does work in ALL fields.
3D format, like a blu-ray would do for a movie.
Oh yes. I lauged, jumped, twicted and everything else you do in a good action movie.
Like a book being formatted to a movie, I decied to try an audiobook with one of my favorite books. I fell in love. I still like to read but if the book is that bood I gotta get the audiobook for the realism like a movie does.
Tell us about yourself!
This book was intriguing, interesting and kept me on my feet. It was full of mystery and suspense so I???m glad I selected it for my next audio selection. I almost started not to select it because one reviewer stated that it was pornographic. This is so not true. I counted and there were only three major sex scenes in the entire story and the first one did not occur until 2 hours and 35 minutes into the book.
I enjoyed the way EJD weaved in and out of past and present scenes with interesting stories of Gideon???s past relationships and childhood.
This is my first EJD book and I really like his writing style. Dion Graham is narrating the story and he is one of the best I???ve heard yet. In fact, sometimes when I really like a narrator (in his case, voice actor), I will seek out their other audios; and I believe he is narrating all of the EJD audio books so that is a plus.
The book can almost be patterned after a James Bond movie. Great job Eric Jerome Dickey!
I love to read! I love many genres.
This book is great! The character development was superb. The descriptive writing style was awesome. I was able to see, taste, and smell the scenes. He is an awesome writer. It was very erotic which I do not really like a lot of erotic type scenes in my reading but the story was so captivating that I continued.
I love the character Gideon. I love how he showed Gideon's humanity.
LOLA!!!! Dion Graham was great. The way he mastered every character was so genius.
This book had me laughing often but I also shuttered at the relationship between Gideon and Thelma. I really felt his pain while he described that relationship.
I enjoy books that reveal the intimacies of a sexual relationship (i.e., Nora Roberts, Susan Elizabeth Phillips) but this book was no crudely pornographic that I had to quit listening to it. 2 hours into the book, a plot had still not been established.
Lots of sex. Also, the ending leaves you up in the air so you have to "read" the second one if you want to know who is trying to kill who. But I did get through it and am going to attempt to find out who is the bad guy by "reading" Waking with Enemies"
I been hearing about Gideon so I bought this book. I gave it one star because I had to give it something. Seriously, I'd give it 1/2 a star or no star at all. HATED IT! But I still enjoy Eric JD.
