Avid Listener of audio books!
This book was intriguing, interesting and kept me on my feet. It was full of mystery and suspense so I???m glad I selected it for my next audio selection. I almost started not to select it because one reviewer stated that it was pornographic. This is so not true. I counted and there were only three major sex scenes in the entire story and the first one did not occur until 2 hours and 35 minutes into the book.
I enjoyed the way EJD weaved in and out of past and present scenes with interesting stories of Gideon???s past relationships and childhood.
This is my first EJD book and I really like his writing style. Dion Graham is narrating the story and he is one of the best I???ve heard yet. In fact, sometimes when I really like a narrator (in his case, voice actor), I will seek out their other audios; and I believe he is narrating all of the EJD audio books so that is a plus.
The book can almost be patterned after a James Bond movie. Great job Eric Jerome Dickey!
This book was so good that I had to listen to it more than once. I highly recommend this and the Walking with Enemies audiobooks. These two books keep you guessing all the way to the end. Great book.
This is my first encounter with Eric Jerome Dickey and I am hooked. Sleeping with strangers is intense, exciting and scary and I am in love with Gideon. I can't wait to get started on Waking with Enemies. I am praying Lola survives I love her character she cracks me up.
Racy, gritty, endearing.
I've not read anything quite like this, as far as how the racy parts fit in with the main character, who is a professional assassin. How often does one find a hit man with a heart, with compassion for women, even love for one of his own kind?
The characters are well acted, overall.. The female voices are overdone. Falsetto gets annoying...a softer tone goes a long way.
Not one, per se, but the overall gentle nature of Gideon to the "damaged" women he gets involved with.
Looking forward to reading more in the series.
Listen I've been looking for an interesting series, something to keep me on my fries and wanting more.... Well I've found it! I'm so excited. It's not like all the over series, it's so much better!
captivated me from the very beginning! i would recommend this book to anyone. structured well and the reader pulled me in with his voice. i am a 1st time reader of EJD. Looking forward to reading many more.
This novel was a little slow. I often found myself daydreaming and not even listening to it. I enjoyed Gideon's interaction with Lola; she was funny!! I am going to read the who Gideon series, and I hope it gets better!!
