If my friend enjoys romance, yes, I would recommend it. The narration is great, the story has enough intrigue to keep me interested and the love story is satisfying. I enjoyed every bit.
Nora's stand alone novels are the best. I like the character development and the drama. Very satisfying.
I have not heard her other readings, but she was excellent in this one.
Yes. This was a binge-read.
Hollywood love gone wrong. The perfect Hollywood couple have the perfect Hollywood baby except the interference of the Hollywood complications. Drugs, and suspected unfaithfulness lead to murder.
The perfect baby is whisked away to the Olympic National Forest and sheltered from life while her Daddy spends 20 years in prison.
I cried as I pictured this little girl looking for her mommy. I was riveted to find out the story behind the story and I love the believability of the characters. Everyone should read how it ends for Livvy.
They story was very good. Excellent reader, one of my favorites. Story was slightly predictable but still very enjoyable.
I love Noah's dominant and confident personality and his effect on Olivia and her grandmother, Val.
The most memorable moments involved Noah gradually winning over Olivia's affection.
I don't have one favorite scene...refer to the aforementioned.
I constantly laughed at Noah's presumptuousness and assertiveness.
I was surprised with the ending...I had no clue.
Once again, Ms. Roberts has enliven my life with a pleasant romance.
Another one of Nora's excellent books! Loved the story, loved the twist, loved the ending - definitely worth the credit!
Loved the fact that the setting for this book was such a contrast to the scene of the murder and where the end finally played out. As usual Nora Roberts leads you in one direction feeling like a forgone conclusion only to finish somewhere else.
Typical Nora Roberts ( I am a loyal fan) - did not disappoint in the plot or by offering a surprise or two in her ending. Performance was well done. Enjoyable listen.
No spoilers! Love HOT, sexy books w/a plot. No vampires, paranormal, teens 4 me. I also review in exchange for books-lots of fun surprises!
Mystery, adventure, surprise
I've had a lot of misses with our pal Nora as of late - however this was really good and well done. My only complaint is that it was a bit long-some editing would not have hurt this at all.
Favorite Moment: The eventful ending!
Olivia's parents had been one of Hollywood's glittering golden couples...until the night the monster came. The monster who destroyed their beautiful home and took her mother away from her forever. The monster with the face of her father....
Now a young woman, Olivia finds her memory of that night has faded. Her mother's grieving family spared no effort to keep Olivia safe from the publicity, taking her to grow up in the beautiful natural splendor of the Pacific Northwest. But, despite the terror and the years that have passed, a part of her still yearns to recall those horrifying events, to know the truth about her childhood.
With the help of a young writer named Noah Brady, she could have the chance. The son of the police officer who found four-year-old Olivia cowering in her bedroom closet so many years ago, Noah wants to reconstruct that infamous night - and tell the story that has become part of Hollywood legend.
With Noah, Olivia has a chance to confront her tragic past - and the longings of her own lonely heart. But before she can confront her past, she must safeguard her future. For in this forest haven, this remote corner of the country, the monster walks again.

Olivia as a child was exceptional. It is often grating to listen to a performance of a child. Sandra Burr does an excellent job with ALL the characters.
Yes but it is over 14 hours!
Cleverly written romance with a great story.
Note: There is some violence, gore.
