I didn't read the print edition.
Jason, for his fortitude, his depth, his ability to keep secrets. D.D. Warren, however, has started to annoy me as a character.
Not sure, but telling would mean giving away too much to a reader before s/he should know things.
This is a suspenseful and very smartly written book. I like when authors bring back characters from their earlier works, and it was done expertly here. Although if you didn't read the earlier work, that doesn't hamper your enjoyment of this story. Lisa Gardner has hit on a formula that works with great characters, and while I have grown tired of James Patterson's formulaic feeling books, each of Gardner's efforts feels fresh and interesting. This listen will keep you on the treadmill longer, entertain you on a long car trip, or make falling asleep a little difficult at night. Highly recommended.
Probably not. It had alot of build up to have the ending come crashing down. There were characters that were brought in that made no sense in the book. I just kept waiting for it to be explained and it just fizzled.
No, I like the suspense realm but this book just wasn't.
The narrator was the only reason I continued to read this book. It was very well read and she did keep my attention. The narrator has a great voice. Sometimes I can't even listen to the book because of the dull voice or too soothing a quality of the narrator, but this was good.
Only the narrator.
I think Lisa Gardner should read her own books to see if they make any sense, or else this may have just been a deadline book that she just threw together!
I found that this was a great book and an easy listen. I listen to books as I drive so I prefer something that isn't too complicated and the reader must be very good. I thought this book was very interesting and the readers were excellent. The plot was intriguing and I was always wondering what was going to happen next and what was the real story of the main characters. All in all a very good book.
Using three different voices makes this an interesting audible. The voice of Susan is especially convincing.
Some cutting in the story would help move it along although surprises abound. Maybe too many to make it believable.
Great book - couldn't stop listen just had to finish!! Just when I thought I knew what was going on she total suprised me. I loved the 3 narrators for The Neighbor. I love all of her books I haven't read a bad one yet.
Lisa Gardner is a great writer. This current book kept me twisted and wondering up until the last minute but I will admit I figured MOST of it out by then. Excellent characters with many layers of depth make this a great listen for anyone who likes the thriller/mistery genre. I can't wait to listen to the next Lisa Gardner novel.
Great book, couldn't stop listening! Would highly recommend this book to anyone who likes a good suspense book.
Loved the story, but this is my first book by Lisa Gardner and I hope she doesn't continue with the character D.D. Warren. It was very difficult to warm to this character. She is too tough, too much on busting chops.
I listened to this almost non-stop for two days, which speaks to how it keeps you hooked. Lisa Gardner has a wonderful way of weaving a complex story and developing multi-faceted characters. My only complaint is the ending. After developing such a great story, it was all wrapped up in a somewhat nondramatic fashion. Overall, I can't wait to download another one from this author.
