I would make a Cliffs Notes version. The contents need to be condensed, and the sales pitch needs to be dispensed with.
The reading was very clear, and he did a fine job of trying to make the subject matter sound interesting. It's not the reader's fault.

This book is tedious. The author droned on and on about the evils of meat, fat, animal protein, etc. I get it, don't eat meat. I don't have a problem with that since it's the very reason that I ordered the book, but it took far too long to find any serious material, and when I did it was seeded amidst more of the same ominous warnings against the consumption of the standard American diet. It would have been very nice to have had a data only version of this study, minus the pontificating. If you already revile meat, and you're hoping to find a book that reassures you that you're doing the right thing, then this is probably your book. It's like this: Fox News for conservatives, MSNBC for liberals, Atkins for those who can't get enough meat, and the China Study for vegans. I wish I could agree or disagree with the conclusions, but I can't stand listening to this (it has been a couple of hours now) and I regret buying it.

As a health and nutrition junkie, this is a must read/listen to book. it is jam packed with scientific information concerning nutrition and disease. I highly recommend this and have already started talking to my friends and family about it.
As much a study on human nature as it is a study on the relation of diet to health. A fascinating and extremely convincing book. Parts of it were utterly heartbreaking. A great appeal to value human life.
It will wake you up and put the truth into perspective! Cause and effects are revealed..... Not effects that causes which is how the masses live.
Yes definitely. I don't feel like I could take in all the information in one go! It gets dry at some points, but I feel that it would be important to still make the effort to pay attention.

The irrefutable scientific studies which support and point to a lifestyle of eating plant based foods. This movement away from the typical American diet can change the course of disease(heart disease, cancer, diabetes) for the individual and ultimately for the society. It confirms the beliefs I have formed over the past thirty years as a dietitian working in community nutrition.
The scientific study which strongly supported the reality that heart disease can be reversed by changing the foods we eat. Heart disease is not inevitable.
