Great read; engaging and exciting; did not want to put it down. Off to the next book in the series, hope it is as good.
Yes, I'd listen again, Michael Connelly may have started out as a newspaper journalist, but Praise God he found his true calling in writing crime novels!
As a law enforcement professional, with a Specialization in Forensic Sciences, there are only a few authors that can keep my attention in a crime novel and Michael Connelly is at the top!
Harry finally has a happy conclusion. It is heart warming.
The two story lines seem totally unrelated.
Len Carriou IS Harry Bosch.
Yes, but fortunately the story is long enough to anticipate subsequent reading experiences.
Harry is beyond cool; Connelly is such a great story teller. I put him on my must-read list.

You won't be disappointed....
I am a 57 year old book addict. I started out reading Daniel Steele and Sidney Shelton novels 30 years ago. Since then I have added literally hundreds of authors. I take the time to write reviews on books that sweep me away. So if I have really loved that particular book. There have been a couple over the years I reviewed because I truly hated them too.
Necessary for series
Not really. I enjoyed the plot but it wasn't as suspenseful as some prior books. That said, if
you're reading in order this is a must read.
His performance of Cross, and he gives a performance. I imagine it was difficult to perform that character. Some reviewers say it grates on them, but that's what someone sounds like on a machine. Cariou did an amazing job.
The last chapter
This book is vital to the continuity of the series.
Oh yes, in this story there were three crimes all connected with many characters and many different scenes. It felt fast paced because Harry was so determined to solve this. He put himself in suspenseful situations, that always had you wondering.
The very last. In Vegas.
Yes, most of the Bosch stories I'll listen outside of my daily commute.
Changed my thoughts on this book since I've realized it's part one of a trilogy; story = 4 stars.Wish Audible made this clear on their site.
Enjoyed the story, and the showdown at the end had me clued to my seat. I really like Harry Bosch, and enjoyed learning how the character was coping first time out without a badge. Glad Len Carious and not Peter Jay Fernandez was the narrator.
Great Book. We need More books like this one. The read was great but I wished they would of used the same one for all Mr. Connelly Books
