Dr. Dyer is a terrific speaker and motivator. I found much of what he says to be useful and applicable, although I don't necessarily agree with a lot of his New Age views of God or "Source". Much of it is fluff and not based on real science.
I bought this book because of the high ratings and recommendations from other readers. I was sadly disappointed. If you're used to Amazon and the serendipity of finding a good book based on others opinions, you'll be surprised to find out that this is an unscripted mass of psycho-babble. Think 'intention' EQUALS 'the secret power & energy of the universe' EQUALS God and you have all you need to know.
I find it very disturbing that so many people rated this book so highly. Either there is a small cult at work here, or general standards of value and merit are seriously warped when it comes to self-help books. You've been warned - save the book credit.
I would listen over and over again.
"The Way of the Peaceful Warrior" is the closest I can think of, simply because of it's ability to touch my soul and inspire me greatly.
I live by it.
This moved me to tears at a couple different points. I am truly grateful for having the chance to listen to this. I will be revisiting it many times in my life, I'm sure of that.
The good. The power.
Ram Dass. He is a good teacher and I love that Wayne Dyer is inspired by him.
He spoke from the heart honestly.
It filled my heart with hope.
Very interesting take on life. Makes you feel good about yourself. You'll walk away with some positive answers about your self. This is my first book by Mr Dyer and will not be my last. Highly recommend.
i would certainly recommend this book and have to several of my like minded friends. Dr Dyer helps you to truly understand your own ability to manifest what ever your hearts desire might be.
it gave me back my own personal power
he is well spoken and adds a little humor here and there to break up the seriousness of its content.
I am a Dyer fan and was looking for something to take on vacation. The book is one of my favorite and I thought this might be something a little deeper. While it was well presented and contained some new information, it was basically a sound tape about the book. I liked it and it refreshed me even if it was a review. If you read the book, no real need to get this unless you are like me and love Dyer.
Pretty high up, like most in this category(that I have listened to).
The author is very personable, I like the stories he tells of his experiences with his children regarding the Power of Intention.
The man who survived through the Holocaust by finding beauty in his once daily meal of a bowl of dirty water, with a floating fish head in it. He will remind me to always find the beauty in every single scenario I encounter in my life, that may at first seem disheartening.
I will most likely listen to this book a number of times, very very insightful.
Yes, I have listen 3 times since I downloaded this audio book.
"Happiness is something you decide to be or want before your destination"
To hear his voice is very reassuring and soothing something very comforting about hearing his story from his own words.
I start my mornings by listening to this audio, reminds me to get aligned with our infinite source and to tame the Ego.
I love anything by Dr. Wayne Dyer.
I have listened to this audio at least 3 times and many sections I have listened 10x over. If you take it to heart, you will easily make the changes in your life.
