More complex and articulated than the first book, Sanderson's writing seems to be evolving alongside his characters.
Great performance by Kramer, although he's still lacking a bit when it comes to dialogues and different characters voices.
Wonderful story, but there was disappointing narration of female voices. They sounded childish and shrill much of the time, but Vin's voice has improved since the previous book.
I enjoyed the first book so much that I went straight to the second. Where some sequels fail in living up to their predecessors, this one did not. I enjoyed this book far more than the first.
Best book I ever read, dethroning Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card.
Good mix of politics, philosophy, war, superpowers, action, romance, and deception.
But best of all is the character development, so much character development for the main cast. Even when I started to not like a character, it was done intentionally and purposefully.
Also it's an exciting end leading to the next in the series
An incredibly original fantasy novel, well written and very well preformed. Sanderson has quickly became one if my favorite fantasy authors after reading his Wheel of Time finish.
Fantastic twists and turns throughout the story. Every time I thought I knew what to expect the unexpected twist would come. The reading has an excellent voice.
There are parts that I would feel uncomfortable having my teenage son read, only because of what is implied. Otherwise it's a great story that I highly recommend!
