I listen to books as I travel, and as a guy I loved story-line. I felt the reading could be better. There are much better readers out there. Jim Dale from Harry Potter for example is great reader with many inflections in his voice. However, don't let that detract you from listening to it. I had no problem visualizing the area and wild life sanctuary in my head. I sure would like to vote for a sequel to this book. A+
This was an ok listen, seemed more of a romance novel. Good plot but lack of detail in the why to keep interest.
The story was okay and kept my interest. I found the characters okay, too. But the "he hurt me" relationship struggles went on a bit too long for me.
This was a well written and well read book, but the production has way to many flaws. Words and sylables were dropped out. You could still understand and follow the story but with the current technology this should not be happening.
I listened to this book on a road trip and loved it. It was my first Nora Roberts read, and I really enjoyed. It's one of those stories that could have went on and on. Maybe a sequel could happen.Hint Hint
Very slow start to a tiresome relational conflict and an anti-climactic ending make this book mostly tedious.
Other reviewers blame the narrator but the material would probably be hard for anyone to salvage.
Oh man... it took all I had to finish this audio book! It was like many of the other reviews comments, predictable, tedious and boring to the very end. The only redeeming quality was the fact that... what fact?
The book failed to deliver after what seemed to be a very promising read in the beginning. Maybe it was not meant for a male reader. Sorry!
