Listened to the whole book in a couple of sittings. Got aggravated with the bull headed heroine, but that was part of the charm. Those are the books, that I can't put down, wondering what she'll come up with next ( and try to call it logical) Really kept my interest.
truly a nice and suttle way to bring the readers into the world and introduce them into lore that she later builds on into a facinating plot toward the later books in the series.
I am easily amused!
Fantastic book set in a medieval Scotland. Wonderful characters with a story that grabs you and doesn't let go until the very end. An epic romance with a gorgeous Scotsman, a stubborn head strong heroine from the 21st century, and an evil fairy out for revenge. Sounds corny but is great fun.
This is one of my favorite books, and Ms. Moning is one my favorite writers. This book is fanciful and charming with a well-voiced narration. I cannot wait for her other books to be produced pn audible!.
I've listened to or read all of this series and each book gets better than the last. They are like Playboy, you think you are going to read them for the romance and find the book as a whole fabulous. They are funny and interesting, fully enjoyable!
I love historical/fantasy romance, and this series fits the bill!!! I have read all seven books, several times. I hope she releases more! The narration is fantastic! I love Phil Gigantes voice! I have listened to alot of his narrations.
I really enjoy the world of books! Narration just add layers to that world... don't u think? :)
I love highland books, and let me tell you, I have no idea what this book is about because I counldn't get pass the horrible narration. Narration can really kill a good book. The voice of Hawk was way too over done. I get Hawk was supposed to be this great and powerful guy, but really, using such a forced baratone voice over did it. Then all the women voices was like listening to a man make fun a woman. Like how boys pick on girls and taunt them in funny female voice. Yes, Narration killed this book. I bet the story was probably good, but I didn't even get into because the voices was sooo outlandish.
Now, the story did manage to listen to was so confusing. First, why in the world would the MAGIC King bring a female from another century back in time just to punish Hawk. How would making him fall in love be a punishment? Second, there are too many kings! A mortal king that hates Hawk, plus the Magic King that hates Hawk too,... So confusing. Lastly, when the girl, I can't even remember her name, is brought back in time... Why is the King mean and mad to her. If she is suppose to replace his daughter, that he killed, shouldn't he be nice. I don't get it...
It dosen't matter, the narration was so bad that I could never piece anything together. Please save your credit for something worth it. THis is not worth the credit.
