The story is well written. I love the whole trilogy, and will frequently re-read them. The narrator often mid-pronounces words, especially Hebrew names and place names. I found that particularly irritating. His performance is good but he should have researched proper pronunciations before recording this. I will read the paper copy next time instead of listening to the audible version.
One of the best things as a Christian is to feel conviction. There are areas in our life that we need to improve. This book helps you to see the areas in your life that needs mending. I wish to have a Hadassah faithful heart, a Phoebe servant attitude, a Julia light, and a Marcus drive.
This is a very captivating story! I've just recently found Francine Rivers' writings and am hooked! I've also learned some history of the era she writes in and have found it very interesting!
I just finished listening to this book after listening to the 1st one & I was addicted. I couldn't wait to find out what happened to each character & I'm in tears of joy at how it ended. Listening to this story has also renewed a love for Jesus & made him feel closer. The way Francine Rivers captured God's heart for his people, all of us, is truly inspiring & heart warming. I felt as if the people in the book where my friends or family. I cried when bad things happened & cheered & rejoiced when good things happened & especially when they believed & were healed. I will never forget these books & will be passing them on to friends. I pray those that read these books will be blessed as I was. God bless.
I love listening to audio books when I'm doing chores around the house, but this book was so good sometime I have a tuff time focusing on those chores.
LOVED this book, but was sad to find out it was the second book in a series. Recommend listening to them both in order!
