I tend to shy away from novels written by women; however, I wanted this book these books to go on and on. My wife recommended this after reading it, and I was totally cought up in the story and charactors. These books also reminded me of my own faith and motivated me to be stronger.
The theme of God's forgiveness permeates.
My husband could not make it through this series, but for us ladies ... Well, the characters are not realistic, but they are lovely. The author serves us well, because she creates characters that inspire.
Very professional reader
the continued Christian message that faith in Jesus can overcome all obstacles.
The Character of Hadassa is my favorite
Wish the author woud quit using the word "SARDONIC" ...way overused.
The story- Francine River's voice.
Hadassah and Marcus of course!
Possibly-I'm not a fan of books made into movies.
I didn't enjoy the narrator while listening to A Voice In the Wind but gave him another try. I should have saved my time and money. I didn't enjoy it any more the second time. I'm not going to listen to As Sure as the Dawn.
Awesome, thought-provoking, deep
I experienced emotions I wouldn't have if I was just reading.
Christian, Thinker, Writer, Marketer, Dad
This second book was even better than the first, for this is the book where all of the pieces fell into place and end-result was nothing less than a true masterpiece.
This book will make you laugh, feel anxious, cry and praise God - all in one or two sittings!
#2 as with 'The Voice In The Wind' at #1
Markus was my favorite character as he struggled with the pain of loss and a dire need to understand why God was more important to Hadassa than her own life. Why had God Forsake her, Markus had to know, thus his quest began.
He was Awesome, giving each character their own voice. A voice I could listen to for hours,
Can't hear you....I'm reading!!
The whole book moved me.
What an awesome follow-up to The Voice in the Wind. I love that this is a christian fiction and that it does not hide away from real situations. It is not a feel good, happy every after type of book. It is raw, without being vulgar. It is passion, without being explicit. It is real, without being offensive. It is so descriptive of the characters that you can't help but to love them, hate them, cry for them and cheer for them! Wow! Thank God for saving Francine Rivers! We finally got something worth reading!
Excellent read!!! A life changing experience!! Do yourself a favor...read / listen to this book!
I love reading....I love the fantasy a good book can give you, how it traps you in another world, and the bitter sweet feeling you get when its over.
christian love story
When Hadasa gains the courage to stand for Jesus no matter what.
He has a way of getting into every character's own self so you don't have to guess who he is talking about. He does great with a wide variety of emotions.
Oh, yes....The very end...was extremely sad but made me rush to get the second book (Don't want to give anything away:) ).
