The ending did not really fall in-line with the rest of the book. Maybe intended to be a surpirse, but really just left me wondering why bother.
Narration was the only saving grace on this book.
Addicted to audible, I listen at least 60 hours a week. A long haul trucker it helps pass the long hours on the road
I started not to get this book based on the description from publisher, it did not seem to be something I would enjoy. I love legal thrillers and got it anyway. It was the best decision I have made regarding audio books. The twists and turns will keep you wondering what will happen next. Get the book and sit back and enjoy.
Cliff, Santa Cruz, Calif. I was looking for a book to listen to on a driving trip . I Saw Joe Barrett was the reader, whom I like,So I looked at the reviews & bought the book, One the Best books I have listened to ,without using sex and bad language Mr. Huston kept my wife and I up till midnight two nights in a row. If all of Huston's Books are this good, We will be loosing a lot of sleep.
If you're a quack about legal thrillers, Marine One won't let you down. Huston builds to a crescendo finish that will satisfy your thirst for court room dramas.
Fast paced and authentic. Hard to put down. Well narrated. Description of trial strategies and courtroom drama better than most, but a little over the top in places. Ending somewhat disappointing, and several threads left untied.
Brilliant. I guage my liking of an audio book on the amount of time that I continue to listen after I parked my car. This one kept me in my garage for extended periods!
Marine One started strong, and finished strong. A good listen from start to finish. Narration was good, and the book kept me guessing on how things might turn out. The ending was not my favorite with his politics inserted, but other than that, I highly recommend this one.
I have to agree with Richard from an earlier post. Not only did the story crash faster than the chopper did, the tying-up of the mystery was so contrived it belied comprehension. As with Richard, I could not wait until it was over.
This book sounded like a real thriller, but it is, in fact, a snoozer. Instead of a search - for - the - truth kind of book, the author spends most of the time describing "tip weights", and how important they are for the helicopter to fly. I thought I was listening to a product manual. Skip it.
