Works like a charm. I fall into a deep sleep nearly every time. Better than white noise.
Re: The previous reviews that indicated they woke up when the book finishes and hear the "thank you for listening to Audible"
They have fixed that. The book just ends. If I still can't sleep I just replay it again, breathe deeply, clear my mind and start again,
I have a quilting business. Since I love to read, I cannot read a book and quilt at the same time. Now I can listen to books and quilt too.
I listen to Deep Sleep....about 3 times a week...or when needed. I have a difficult time going to sleep and this audio book is perfect.

His voice is very soothing and easy to listen to and to trust. In fact Glenn Harrold is so good at reading....I have never had a chance to listen to the 2nd chapter....1 chapter and I'm asleep. Love it.

I would have given this audio a full 5 stars....but on the very rare times I have had to listen to the end of the chapter....it is very jarring to hear...This is Audible...we hope you have enjoyed this book. EDITORS....fix this please.!
I really never had, but I had to let everyone know that this audio does work. I use it only when I feel I might need help falling asleep. You have to at least give it a real try!
Initially, I would find myself relaxed and usually able to drift into sleep by the end of the first track. Now, I don't make it past the first 5 minutes. I stay asleep longer and feel more rested. The music leaves a lot to be desired, but ends quickly and the speaker's voice is slow, hypnotic and well modulated. This is one of the best sleep meditations I have used to date. Thank you for helping me sleep sans medication for over a year. And, FYI, I've had issues with insomnia my entire life, largely due to ADHD. thank you, Glenn...you are deeply appreciated. Namaste.
Helps to drown out background noise & slow my mind down. Soothing voice. Interesting enough imagery and repetition to keep my occupied without my wheels turning and keeping me up. A reliable sleep aide these past few months
I was pleasantly surprised to find how helpful his book has been. Worked almost immediately. Nice soothing voice relaxes me along with the "instructions" try it -- you may be as to get that sleep you long for. Just make sure you are really ready before you start!
This rates well in my audio books of self help it is one of my favorites.
I like best that it helps me get to sleep and uses breath.
I have a couple of his recordings and I like this one the most. I need it the most.
I use the breathing to help me get to sleep even without the recording. I also learned some breath technique in Roberta Shapiro's Sleep Solutions an MP3 I purchased elsewhere.
For anyone struggling with sleep take note you should use this with headphones. Also it is 21 days of use and then you can use intermittently. It takes time and effort when you really have had a bad case of insomnia. This is an aid not a cure. I have used multiple recordings and have landed on this one. I switch them around at times and that seems to do the trick for me. I am sleeping better than I have in a long time but I still have some rough nights. LIsten to a sample before purchasing in case the voice of the narrator isn't for you for me it has been relaxing and helping me snooze.
