This is the second book that I have listened to by Jennifer Crusie and other authors as well but my draw to this book was because Jennifer Crusie's name was attached. I really enjoyed this book. I particularly enjoyed all the characters. I loved Abby, Shar, and Daisy and all their dogs, Bailey, Wolfie, and Bowser. One of my favorite parts about the book was since I listened to it, I was able to hear all the different voices that the narrator did. She was a very excellent narrator. I really liked this book becuase while there were some really great love scenes between the characters it was also a big focus on the goddesses and the relationship between the three of them and how they have to work together in order to combine their powers and defeat the goddess that has tried to destroy them.
I also liked how it was the girls that was able to fix everything rather than the male characters in this book. While the guys did try and help it was ultimately the girls that took care of everything in the end and I did appreciate that about this book.
Overall I thought it was a really good well written book. I think it was long but not too long and it didn't drag it all. It moved along nicely and I did like the dogs and all their characteristics and conversations. I think it was a nice added part to the book.

The narration of this book was the best thing about it. The story itself, sort of a pseudo - historical romance is not my genre. But I do love dogs and I think the dogs in the book were saying exactly what dogs would be saying if we could understand them. I enjoyed that aspect of the story and some of the love scenes are pretty sexy.
I should have been paid to read this. So don't know which was worse--the storyline or the reader. Written for high school dropouts.
I love to read / listen and I write as well. Hope to have something published some day and see my work here for all to enjoy!
Generally I enjoy anything written by Jennifer Crusie... This is the exception. Very odd. Strange. Just plain weird. Couldn't wait for it to be over. The narrator was annoying as well. Don't waste your time.
I really liked this book. I saw comments that paranormal should be avoided but it was really a fun and light hearted book
Absolutely! It was funny, romantic, with a little magic tossed in, you can't go wrong with this book.
Milton the dog! I loved all of her portrayals of the dogs, but Milton was my favorite! I also loved her portrayals of of the three main characters, but Milton was the best.
This book was laugh out loud funny. I have to admit I loved the dogs the best, but the story was great and the narrator was awesome. I've listened to it quite a few times and is always something that makes me happy!
I just Love the Allure of a Great Romance...a Pair of Rose Colored Glasses...some Fine Wine, and a Subscription to Audible...
Ugh...This book was a real disappointment. I was expecting something fun and light-hearted, but I just couldn't stomach this, and quit after making myself get through the first 5 chapters, hoping it would get better.
Sorry! Definitely not worth the credit.
This book is out there. I think part of what makes it so funny is that it is clueless. The premiss is silly, the narration very cute, the characters sort of ridiculous in their dysfunctions. But I laughed out loud and found it an ideal commuter listen during a stressful period at work.
