This was a thrill to listen too! great naration and an amazing story following one of my favorite characters from the star wars universe!
the only thing that I can say is wrong with this story is that when he does maul's voice, it sounds nothing like the movies. that breathy violent whispery voice was sorely missed. but still the story was perfectly wonderful. need a star wars kick to make you hate 1 2 and 3 less? this doesn't help. but its still awesome!
Gripping suspense and adventure that keeps you wanting to listen more! First time I hear it I went and bought an headset just so I could finish listening to it at nite! I recommend this for ALL Star Wars fans!
I definitely find it a little easier to follow.
I have not listened to any of his other performances. However, I found this one interesting and entertaining.
Normally when I read books talking about the Sith I always root for the Sith. However this book I found myself not sure which side I wanted to win, though I knew the ultimate outcome. Darth Maul has long been a favorite character of mine so I thought that was quite an achievement. As far as extreme reactions go though, no not really.
I found it interesting that the reader of this story (in my opinion) spoke with a sort of air of condescension, though if I were being honest I could see a Sith Lord speaking that way so I did come to enjoy that aspect of the story-telling.
Good book. Great to see Darth Maul in action and Darth Sidious plotting. A good read. Nice ending and prelude to Episode I
The people that put this book together know absolutely nothing about Star Wars. As an example they used a dirt bike sound for a speeder. One blunder among many.
Lousy story and almost no characterization of Darth Maul. Read Darth Plagueis for good pre-prequel storytelling.
The narrator is OK, but has an odd speech inflection that sticks out in each of his character voices.
This book really should not have Darth Maul's name in the title considering how little you learn about him.
