I read the entire series first. I fell in love with the characters, the story line and the love scenes. When I joined Audibles, I bought the series so that my daughter, with dyslexia, could "read" them on her Nano. I started listening on my computer while I checked my email and became hooked all over again. I have now downloaded the entire series on my Nano and listen while I do my housework, sure livens up dusting!!!!!
Butch. He's street smart, with a great wonderful sense if loyalty to the brothers.
I gave him 4 stars because his voice is too soothing for the story line, but that is exactly why my daughter has started looking for other books by him.
All the love scenes. And what he went through to join the brotherhood
Communications Professional, Jewelry Artist and Lifelong Reader
It's par for the course in fantasy romance. I've listened to 4 books by this author recently. The world she creates is vivid, but I need a break from the foul language and The Brotherhood's catchphrases.
Yes, I have. This performance of his is as good as the others I've listened to.
I enjoyed when Butch learned the truth about his ancestry. I knew The Brotherhood would find something, but I did not expect what that "something" ended up being.
I love the series. And the book was well written. But Butch as a character never intrigued me. Although the story was well written and continues to tie into the series nicely.
How Butch was able to be transformed.
That Butch had a full storyline wriiten for him and not a short story or
'novella' since he isn't one of the original Black Dagger Brotherhood
Butch - for his faithfullness and bravery
I think Jim Frangione did an amazing job with his performance/narration in every book in this series - and I'm not exactly sure who tho thank -editors/publishers/ Audible, etc. for having the same narrator throughout the full series!
This is a series that's really not to be missed! It ranks high up there as one of my favorite series I've read &/or listened to. Now I'm head over heels for the Fallen Angels series (although the narration for Rapture ruined the book - at least for me- since they seem to have speeded up the narrators voice).
If you love the Black Daggerhood series I'd also recommend like the Midnight Breeds by Lara Adrian which also has excellent narration.
Absolutely. Like with the other books in this series, there is a personal growth with each character that, combined with the romance, never gets old.
I have downloaded almost all the books in this series despite my initial issues with the reader. His voice takes some getting used to, but the stories pull you in rapidly and you soon find that you have adjusted to his style and voice. Like my other favorite audible series, they stick with the same reader throughout.
The transition was captivating!
BUTCH, he is such a wise azz! Love him!
The transition from Human to Vamp. and how V reacted to it all
Yes. I read the res of the series. It made laugh & cry.
It was so wonderful that Butch is another Black Dagger Brother. He is so much like Wrath, but he has so much love and power. This is a great story of love and homecoming. Welcome home
Its a wonderful book, one of my favorites, but the monotone narration ruined it.
Robert Petkoff or Eric G Dane
I loved the book, the narrator just ruined in by speaking in monotone and had the same voice for every character.
After listening to quite a few audiobooks, with narrators who use accents for the characters, use different voices for each characters including male and female, I was very disappointed in this audiobook. Jim Fangione used basically a monotone, gruff voice throughout the entire book, with no excitement when called for, nor soft voice when needed. When a female voice was present, his narration was just as masculine as the male characters. I won't be purchasing any other books narrated by this man, when there are others with such wonderful talent such as Robert Petkoff and Eric G.Dane. I'll read the books that Fangione narrates, and listen to the others.
This is my number one audiobook series
Butch O'Neal is one of my favorite characters
Love Jim Frangione!
I listened to it while driving to and from work... I didn't mind the extra trips to the store.
I work full time, go to college full time, and a mother of three, the only time I get to "read" for pleasure is while I'm driving... love this series, helps keep me sane!
