I think this may be my favorite of the Stephanie Plum series. Funny as always, and the new characters, Brenda and Gary, were hoots. But best of all was the narrator. She kept the pace and personalities lively and engaging.
I enjoyed this book but it is not one of her best.
#14 was much better than #13 Evanovich came through with much better Plum escapade. Can't wait for #15.
One more time Janet Evanovich has me laughing out loud while reading and not wanting me to leave what I call Plumville. Why can't there be more than one Janet Evanovich in this world?
I enjoyed this book as I have with the other 13 books with Stephanie in them. It is getting alittle redundant but still a good read - well, listen. AND, the thought of Ranger in a tux...umm, delicious!
Which makes me very happy.
I think having a kid invade Stephanie's life has helped a whole lot. So she's having to relate to more than how hot Ranger is.
OK, so this is not a Pulitzer Prize award winner, but if they had one for comedy, Janet Evanovich would be the definite winner. When I describe this series to people who haven't read it I tell them: "Comedy with a little drama, mystery and mayhem mixed in." Knowing the characters from the previous books is an absolute prerequisite to thoroughly enjoying this book. In fact, now that I have finished 14, I am going to go back and start at One for the Money again and enjoy the series from 1 to 13 because I found 14 to be so uplifting and funny. I remember the other books had similar moments and want to re-live them! I thoroughly enjoyed this book!
