Same comments as most of the other reviews...interesting and compelling story, but I found myself removing the ear buds at times due to all the lip smacking and salivating
Fast-paced action with a strong likable heroine, despicable foes, and sometimes more information than you can process. If you liked Angels and Demons and The DaVinci Code you will also enjoy Deception Point although it has nothing to do with religious history.
This is the third Dan Brown book I have listened to. I quite liked it although the mono plot was pretty easy to see through a bit too early and I would have expected a few more twists. Could so much happen to people in one day? Probably not but if you like an easy read with enough to keep your mind of work for a few hours, give it a go. Please Mr Brown don't start punping these out too quick.
If you like a good suspence story, this one is for you. I think that Dan Brown shows how well of a writer that he is with this novel. This action/adventure story will hook you from the start, and keep your intrest until the very end. This is definitly a must read.
This is an excellent mystery in the style of Dan Brown without any religous overtones. However, this time, the secret organizations are within our own goverment! Very interesting how this mystery was presented and how the facts were revealed. You are kept in the dark until close to the end...just like Dan Brown wants it! If you like his other books, this one will be a hit for you.
After the DaVinci Code I like the rest of the world seems to be in love with Dan Brown. To me the same themes seem to be in every Brown novel I have listened to, Girl and Guy fall for each other during a tense situation . Found Deception Point to be just as well written as DaVinci and Angels & Deamons.
Excellent book, 10x better than the Da Vinci code or Angels and Demons. I have listened to 100+ Books on tape, this was in the 10 for enertainment. This book will be a big budget movie in the future.
As others have mentioned in their reviews, you really have to suspend your belief in reality to stay with this book. Many times I had to check myself from audibly saying 'no way' when the author makes another leap in logic.
Of the books written by Brown, this was his least enjoyable effort. Don't waste the money on this one.
