It is amazing, having grown up thinking that I was a relatively courteous man, just how important and how obvious the thoughts in this book really have turned out to be. This is a book I wish I had read as a kid, then again as a teen, and then several times as a young adult.
The narration tone and cadence is great.
I highly recommend this book.
The methodolgy espoused here is as relivent today as it was when first written. It teaches how to have great relations in all areas of lifel.
This book helped me in countless ways, I'm overall very pleased with my purchase of this book, hope everyone reads this book, it would make our world a little bit better
This book maybe old and to be honest has a little to much waffle but, its a work of art and anyone and everyone should read it if you want to connect with people. The pyramids maybe old but that makes them not less amazing, its the same with this book. Not reading this is a mistake.
Imagine a guide book written to help you navigate the most important aspect of a very long journey, human interaction and relationships. Imagine having it with you from the day you begin your personal, professional quest, or your most vital relationships. Imagine being able to turn to it daily for guidance and direction. This book/audio, is just that. It may well be the most valuable tool you ever buy. It has changed the lives of countless men and women since it was first published in 1936. Warren Buffett stated simply: "it changed my life!"
Old or young, male or female, rich or poor, all people need to have this book in their hands and follow the simple steps and processes Mr. Carnegie lays out inside. It changed my life and it will change yours too! Get it and get it in you.
Peace and happy returns!
A great classic we can all gain something from. One of those books I always shied away from in the stores, but to my delight a wonderful and valuable listen. Only the cynical of the cynical could seek to discredit the time honored principles this book is based on. Whilst the principles may be basic in their raw form, it is truly left to the reader/listener to decide for themselves if they are living by them and how it is affecting their life. It gives one something to stop and think about, even if the answers are obvious ... You actually have to stop assess your life and consider them for yourself. This should be read in schools in my opinion.
One of the better all-time authority and pioneer in the matter, Dale Carnegie, combined whit one of the better Narrator, Andrew MacMillan, this Audiobook is really a treasure I found.
THIS BOOK IS ONE OF A KIND. LOVE IT, GREAT READ, PLUS THE STORIES USED TO ILLUSTRATE THE PRINCIPALS ARE GREAT. THE READER HAS A VERY CALM, EASY TO LISTEN TO VOICE THAT WILL MAKE YOU WANT TO LEARN.
For a self-help book, this is pretty good. I wish people who torment me would read it and take it to heart.
