This book was funny and actually made me laugh out loud at times. I enjoyed having a short read for once. I usually listen to books that average 14 hours. This was light and delightful.
I thought this book was very clever, and very sexy. The only thing distracting to me was the voice that was used for the lead male (kind of sounded like a teenaged boy going through puberty). But overall I enjoyed it enough that I listened to it twice.
Narrator's whiny, high pitched, sharp voice not at all suited to romance novels. She makes seduction scenes sound like Disney cartoon characters discussing kindergarten sandbox maneuvers.
I love Stephanie Bond books, and I was thrilled to have found one of her Blaze novels in audio form. The narrator sounds like a 15 year old girl narrating a Nickelodeon sit-com. It ruined the story so much I could hardly finish it. This book deserved better.
Sure. It's not terrible and it's not great. I think it had a lot to do with the narrator. Nasally and sounded like she was whining the entire time.
Anyone else. Her voice was so nasally it hurt the story. She made Dell sound like a 12 year old boy. I had to try really hard to not pay attention to her nasally voice.
It was a good quick listen, didn't have to think much. I also don't think the characters made silly decisions which can be the case in so many of the romances. Wasn't completely blown away but I recommend to a friend.
I haven't read a romance rag in years, so thought I would try it. The genre still causes me to roll my eyes.
It's a great choice for a quick listen
Gabby - because she is determined and has a dry sense of humor
There are actually several. One of the funny ones was in the beginning where Gabby knocks over a planted pot with a tree in it in front of the entire company she works for.
