This book is a curious mixture of fantasy fiction, science fiction, spy thriller and comic book hero activity. It is perfectly obvious that the maneuvers and escapes accomplished by the hero and heroine are totally impossible. However the overall effect is amusing and interesting, so the fictional aspects can be forgiven.
This book gets off to a little bit of a slow start, but about 2 runs into it (I listen to audio books while I am running) you can't stop. I started out only listening to the book on my long runs, but only a few runs in, I was listening every day! Great book! Kept me running, had me at half marathon distance in no time!
Ok, so the first of the new series was AMAZING. This was almost as good. I had a few problems with parts of the plot, I just don't know that they could get away with some of it. It reminded me a little to much of Mission Impossible. It was still a good read...er listen.
If you like the other Bourne books or Ludlum, get this book! It is every bit as good as any of the others! The plot and action are great. Just great!
A book that keeps you on your toes guessing. It was a true betrayal, even bourne for once was deceived against his better judgement.
I remember 2 summers ago I read the first 3 books - I just could not get enough. I was hoping to feel the same about this one but not even close. This is writing a book knowing suckers like me won't be able to resist because they miss Jason so much and want to catch up with an old friend.
I was really dissapointed with this book. The character that purports to be Jason Bourne/David Webb is not the same character I have enjoyed in the original Bourne trilogy books. The Bourne in this book is not nearly as resourceful or intelligent as the Bourne I am accustomed to in the original books. I also found this book to be very predictable and not nearly as intriguing as I had hoped. The characters were not well developed and I really didn't care all that much about any of them. Consequently, when the characters died, I really didn't care. Lastly, I felt like the author's use of profanity was excessive and gratuitous.
Just love listing to audiobooks. Some of my favorite authors are Vince Flynn and Brad Thor
This was probley one of the best books I have read in a while. It was very well written and read and fast action as I have seen in the Bourne movies. So if you what a fast action good reading book then this is for you.
Started slow and I was surprised by the sound effects. Once I got used to them it was fine. I wish they would have Bourne rest instead of continuing to fight even when half dead. I get that he is supposed to be a super agent but he is still human.
Yes, but only after reading reviews well after release
Nothing. Not as good a Jason Bourne, Definitely not the performance quality of Scott Brick, and obviously an attempt to perpetuate a brand rather than continue develop characters.
He was boring and just not the quality linguist that Scott Brick is. Jason Bourne lost man points because of the narrator.
Yes, but like the first 4 books, it will probably be a completely rewritten story and plot and not follow the book much at all.
I'm sure it's too late to save the brand from the cheap production course that it is on. Best now left up the screen writers and hope for the silver screen to make all of the money. Hope Ludlam got paid well, because his franchise is cheapened by the current format and production qualities of books 5 and on. Even book 4 was disappointing, but not as bad as 5.
