I love these books/this series. JR Ward knows how to captivate and draw you to the characters, and writes so that you can invision what is happening. I always want more when I finish, and cant wait for the next!
I would compare it to none of th others. They each have different issues and love stories
I love how he brings u in and his voice.
All of them please!!!!!!
Yes. I enjoyed reading this book. It is a lengthy book, lots of characters, plot, to follow. I'm sure there could be things I missed because of the volume. I will read it again.
Writh, the blind king. He's gruff but smart and has a good heart.
Incredible world developed for our enjoyment. Ward is a wizard; she knows just how to push the buttons of her audience. Awesome story line and character development, you really feel a part of the action. Lovely fantasy opportunities.
ANOTHER AWESOME BOOK! I don't know how they keep getting better, but thank you for that! I'm looking forward for the next one...
I've realized I like the BDB books the most when all the characters are in it. When it focuses on one character without many other main ones getting involved (e.g. Phury's story), it's not as fun or interesting.
This book had all the character appear very frequently, and Rhevenge's story was very cool. Enjoyed.
In terms of narration, this is one of Frangione's better performance. However, the sound needs to be recut, as sometimes sentences start so quickly, they cut off the previous sentence.
The editing in this book is horrible! horrible! Horrible! I have not had any issues with the series (in Audible) until this book and I hope the rest of the books in the series are not like this. Horrible Editing!
I am an avid fan of audible. I have over 150 titles in my library. Kersey Cole is one of my favs
The Black Dagger Brotherhood books are very well written. I have listened to only four of them, but I plan on hearing them all.
I happened upon the Back Dagger novels by accident and had to go back and start from Novel One and work my way through. I love that J.R.Ward went outside the box and played with the whole how vampires exist sort of thing--creating their alternative world and way of life and weaving that into the realm of life among humans. It's pretty cool and while I sometimes cringe at the fact that everyone speaks in that same short hand, tough mannered way (including the women) that seems a small issue as I glean so much enjoyment from the individual stories of the Brothers and their mates (their back stories, etc.), how they're brought together, the complex relationships and the bonds that are formed. I'm coming to the end of Lover Avenged right now and I'm almost preening with excitement, because I've already guessed what the major plot-line of the next one is going to be. Lucky me that I don't have to wait and can jump right in as soon as The End sounds on my dvr. P.S. Jim Frangione is a perfect choice for these novels. He's not the best when it comes to accents and dialects, but mostly his performances are superb. It takes a special talent to indicate the opposite sex without sounding a little odd. He's one of the readers that does it without--it appears--effort. He was a great find for the Brotherhood novels.
Love this series. Great narrator. Great story line. A story that you will want to listen to over and over again.
