I love this author. Simply because his writing is so descriptive and entertaining. Reading or listening is like watching a movie. His characters are funny and quirky. Super detailed depth! It's such a nice escape, laced with bits of history or facts you would never know about mixed in. Light hearted and easy. Great for
All ages. No steamy scenes or foul language. They are refreshing stories! Love it!
This version sounds almost like the microphone was swinging as they recorded it...the volume goes louder and softer constantly...the story is entertaining but just a warning that the recording is annoying.
I generally do not listen to an entire book straight through, so I tend to want to stop at the end of a chapter. My problem with this audio is that there's not a good way to access the spot where I left off--especially from another device. I tried accessing the chapter by the links, but when clicking on chapter 2, I was taken to Chapter 6. If this issue was resolved, I would thoroughly enjoy and recommend this book.
READING WAS BAD
STORY WAS WORSER
BE MORE ORIGINAL AND NOT KEEP DIGGING INTO WORN OUT REPEATED STORY
HE IS SO GOOD , BUT IN THIS BOOK HE IS SOOO BAD!
I DO NOT KNOW
I really liked listening to Michael Welch read this story. He did a great job. I even listened to it three times!!
I took the book with on an eight hour drive. I have made the trip a number of times before, but it seemed to go much faster when there is a good book to listen to.
My 9 yo daughter listens to this over and over; more than any other audiobook. I had a drive with my 12 yo son so thought we'd give it a try and the time flew by. Fun story with vivid characters and a well-read audiobook. Highly recommended!
I listened to this with my two boys, ages 11 and 15, on a road trip. Perfect vacation listening. Formulaic but entertaining. Having young teens as protagonists (As with Hiassen's "Hoot" and "Scat," both of which we've also listened to on long road trips)is great for the young people in the car; Hiassen's wry humor comes through well and the stories are never maudlin or simple-minded. Plus the pro-environment theme rings a bell with the young folk.
