Mr. Muller has long been one of my favorite audiobook readers. His wonderful voice and incredible characterizations helped bring so many audiobooks to life.
Incredible talent, bringing varied characters to life, creating not just a story but a whole world of people and interactions.
Frank Muller can read anything of any genre and make the book come alive. When I started to listen to audio books, in the 1980's, one of the first Books on Tape, that got me to my job 1 hour away, was The Martian Chronicles read by Frank. It was so eerie, so enthralling, so very entertaining, that I'd sit in front of my house with 3 young children and a hungry hubby inside, just to listen to a little more of Frank Muller's voice.
So sad he was killed in an accident. Also, I can't seem to find The Martian Chronicles read by him. Will keep searching. Until then, these samples of Frank Muller work was thoroughly enjoyable.
I didn't know him by name, and only discovered Frank Muller after finding a reference to him in an article about RC Bray.
Muller made his narrations come alive and I look forward to hearing some of the classics in the future. Meanwhile this 15 minute sampling is a great taste for anyone wondering if audio books are a great alternative to reading them themselves.
I greatly enjoyed the wide selection of audio samples of Mr. Muller. it is truly a tragedy for all that such a great man and talented narrator left us all far too soon. My only critique is that I wish this audio file was longer. Such incredible dramatic ability and versatility!
I have had the extreme pleasure, thanks to Audible to have had Frank Muller read to me so many compelling, scary, wistful & edge of your seat stories over the years. I feel I have come to know very well the characters Frank so very well told the story of & maybe even Frank as well.
I was so very sad to hear Mr. Frank Muller's passing. I truly feel it's an old friend we shall miss & cherish forever. See you perhaps in the next life Frank & Thanks again for your craft of storytelling.
Final reader rating from a humble reader: 6.0 & Bravo Mistro Muller.
I've listened to literally thousands of audio books and Frank Mueller was far and above the best of a talented bunch. A narrator whose voice so infuses the characters with their own life that Stephen King has said that he actually changed his characters in the dark tower series to match the characterization Mueller was able to give them in his narration. I find myself buying audiobooks I have little interest in just so I can here drank mueller speak once more. This tribute catches a lot of the essence of his narrative style and I still am deeply moved whenever I listen to it. New listeners can use this clip to sample a great voice in the audio community and old listeners can say a
final goodbye to an old friend.
I loved this and would love to have some of the books, but I can not find the titles used in the montage anywhere? Can anyone help? And can you do so in order they appear? Thanks!
