As always, the characters and setting are entertaining and engaging. When I have some free time, I would like to make the sample scarf from the book. I also like the way Macomber creates characters who love Jesus, since he is my Savior as well.
Love Blossom Street!
Il live all the characters in Blossom Street I cried at the end I guess it touched be because my Mother died when I was 2 and I still miss her at 68 even though I have no memories of her. PTL I will spend a turn of tea with her!
The narration is REALLY poor. I've enjoyed the books in the series up to this one but can't stand listening to this one.
The book, yes. Audiobook, no..
She sounds like she's reading to children. It's very difficult to tell the voices apart and her rhythm is awkward. She sounds like a wannabe actress.
The story was good but I hated the www adds at the beginning of every chapter. This had been very distracting to the story. Over all its was a good story.
The end had been very satisfying.
Yes it would be a good series. I don't know who could do it.
NO! Not unless someone else tells the story
NO!!! I will look to make sure she is not reading a story before I buy another audio version. She hurried through her performance and made me sorry I bought the audio version. I have bought and listened to over 150 audio books and she is the worst reader I have encountered.
I have always loved Debbie Macomber books and recently got into this series. I really enjoy the books but I have not loved the different narrators. I especially disliked this one. All the sentences ran together without breath and all the characters were the same voice. I love a good book and a good narrator really brings it to life. For me this one was almost painful to get through.
I have read several Debbie Macomber books and this one was not her best, but was a very good story. I am already listening to another Macomber book.
The most memorable moment was of course Casey being told that Brad, Lydia, and Cody were going to adopt her.
No - her voice inflections were often inappropriately placed and annoying.
Yes I would.
Delilah's voice in and of itself was not annoying, but the inflections were over the top. When you listen to a story, you want it to sound like you were reading it yourself. We are not expecting a dramatization of the story - especially not a bad one.
I love audio books. I am an avid reader/listener in my car and sometimes I just sit in a park or pool and let the escape begin with Audible
I didnt want to miss out on the story but the narrator was horrible. She should stick to her radio show which she is excellent at. I cant tell you the number of times I turned off the book to take a break from the narrator.
Her voice is too harsh and there was no distintion between the story and the speaking parts.
She just read the book to me.
Keep this series going.
I think the story is about the same as the others but the narrator has such a screechy voice, mispronounces words and has been reading one line in the book twice. I have not encountered this with the other Macomber books and I've listened to a lot. It is hard to listen bc of the narrator.
I love Delilah on the radio, but she just doesn't do it as an audiobook narrator. She is too fast, too loud, and no distinction between characters.
Any of the prior narrators.
