Definitely. After realising where the "strange" voice came from (sorry Sean) it was absolutely delightful to read this positive take on a barrel full of lemons which turned out to be a very enjoyable, if somewhat tangy, lemonade. The complete absence of self-pity and "preaching holier than thou" in this book was refreshing and inspiring. Many of us believe we have problems but reading this makes you realise you have excuses.
Without a doubt the little schoolboy Sean. Refusing to accept that being different makes him special.
No, I have not but will soon again.

I had put this book on a list of books to buy and read because I had listened to the preview. However I was on the go and forgot about this and downloaded it on my blackberry to listen to while travelling. I really wish I had remembered to buy the book as I couldn't even get through half of the audiobook because of the narrators voice was quite unpleasant to listen to for such a long time.
I completely understand the authors voice is due to his condititon however I feel that perhaps if he had hired a narrator to narrate the book it would be much more enjoyable for his listeners. I would have no problem listening to the author speak in person at a motivational event however I do not feel that by him personally narrating the book it makes it more real.
You can only feel sorry for the reviewers, David and Esther...it's painfully obvious that they have completely missed the point, if they cannot see that the narration only adds to the impact of this fine book.
Too bad Mr. Stephenson's ego did not permit him to choose somoeone else to narrate his book. Listen to the sample before choosing this selection; had I done the same, I would not have purchased this.
The voice of the author was an immediate turnoff. The theory that he provides may be interesting, however his voice made me stop listening immediately. The author should have invested in someone who has a stronger voice for narration. It seems somewhat unprofessional. Perhaps I should have listened to the sample first. Well.. lesson learned..
