Tell us about yourself!
This is by far my favorite author, nothing reads like Christopher Moore. Be careful if you listen to this while driving people will think you are crazy. You may not be able to get away with listening to this at work because you will be laughing hard. This entire series is great! Actually anything this guy write is funny even his facebook post are crazy.

This is one of the funniest books I've read in a long time.. I absolutely enjoyed every minute... don't waste time buying each book separately. Download them all now: Bloodsucking Fiends, Bite Me and You suck; that way you will not have to waste a minute getting to the next one. Very very enjoyable. Highly recommend. Also, loved the SF Bay Area setting.

The Book itself is very good. I would have never even stopped to look at the discription if I had not seen an artical about Christopher Moore. If they changed the cover to something that does not look like a bad horror movie. They might just get more listeners. I hope thats not the cover that went to press. Awful!
Other reviewers have already given great summaries of how this book is really funny and enjoyable. All of Christopher Moore's characters (in this book and others) are profoundly quirky, and it would be very easy for his outlandish scenarios to seem downright silly in a way that makes you not feel very invested in the storyline. But he has such affection for the characters that he can humanize even the strangest ones, and I always end up caring about the characters enough that I want to know what happens to them. Thumbs up - and read all of his other books too.
This might of been an entertaining book, but the male character voices performed by Susan are by far the worst I've ever heard. She is talented, but I couldn't wait for this book to end. Start with Tommy, the 19 year old love interest of our newly made vampiress. I tried my best to overlook the fact that Susan went with the voice of an 11 yr old prepubescent boy. Couple that with the whiny tone and it was impossible to ignore. The "erotic" scenes were a joke as soon as Tommy spoke. Now, if that's not bad enough, Susan gives us the over the top performance for other male character including: one with a heavy lisp, a burnout, a cowboy, a homeless man with a heavy british accent, and a cop named Rivera who starts with a heavy irish accent and eventually turns to maybe transylvanian? Susan did a great job on everything else but the male voices absolutely sucked the life out of this book for me. Sorry Susan...
Divorced mom of 2 in college. I have a day job which I want 2 trade 4 online work,I love books, print is small I turned 2 audible.love it!
I loved the book! I took a chance selecting this book with the win-win sale. the characters are very believable and likable. this as I have learned is the first part to a three book story. I can't wait to download the rest. I do hope the author will continue with the love story of jody and tommy. I love them with the quirky sense of humor they all seem to have. it made reading another vampire story fun and funny. all the side characters were great fun too. The animals and the emperor and his merry men(wink wink). I would tell any one to get this book if you want to have a enjoyable read with characters you will come to love and care about. I wish the book was longer too.you get the sense that the author wanted to tell a story of people who felt loneliness but thought the events and the relationships found someone who could would like and love them for who they are. good book. again I must say I hope the author writes more about these folks and I do hope that the narrator susan bennett will once again be the voice that brings them to life, she is great, wonderful, and creative with the many voices she does herein these stories.
This was a very entertaining and cool view of a newly bitten vampires point of view. I will definently find more of Christopher Moores books!
This audio book is engaging, pulling you in and making you laugh at unexpected times, I drive for a living and became so engrossed in this book that when I was done with work for the day I didn't want to stop listening, Susan Bennett did an amazing job on this book and the other two in the series. she brought life to each character.
