There are some really beautiful, lyrical bits in this book, as well add some great character moments and the narrator does a fine job with them. I really enjoyed it.
Having read this before reading the other witch books, I had a different perspective on Granny Weatherwax. I highly recommend revisiting Pratchett's works rather than having one read through and thinking that is all one can get. Reading a Discworld novel once would be like tasting a single piece of chocolate and never having another bit out of the sampler box.
Yet another nail-biting story by Terry Pratchett and a masterful performance by Stephen Briggs. I bought this book a few days ago and now have to wait a whole month before I can continue the adventures of Tiffany and the Wee Free Men. Hooray for witches and common sense!
Loved every moment of it.
I also appreciated it more after reading Pratchett's short story in A Blink of the Screen, which features many of the same characters, in another annual witches' trials.
