I am a truck driver who loves listening to audio books. I also play a music and some gardening when I can. I do really like to cook as well.
This is not my normal listen. I love action and mysteries. I have to say though, this was very interesting.I actually enjoyed it very much. I wasn't sure I would at first but I found the stories very heart warming, honest and in fact inspireing.
Very good book.
No. I can't see this as a movie.
Greatly enjoyed the multiple shorts about peoples lives. Especially the older wise stories.
This is a lovely reminder of what makes us all human. Different relationship dynamics (grandparent-grandchild, mother-daughter, etc). Different life experiences. Listening to this makes me want to record my parents and my husband's Aunt's history.
I really enjoyed listening to these great personal stories. I would like to listening to more stories.
I have not listened to any others.
This is a great little introduction to the Storycorps Project which records people interviewing loved ones about their experiences in order to archive them as part of our public history. Such a great idea! And I really enjoyed the selections in this piece.
Several of these stories brought tears to my eyes. Renewed my faith in the goodness of the world.
NIce to hear real stories from real people particularly in their own voices. The interaction between family members was especially touching in some cases.
By its very nature, the audio is better because the people featured speak not only in their own words but in their individual voices.
The interviews and the diversity.
When you feel down or wants to see how love overcomes difficult situations, this is certainly a go to recording.
Variety of settings and people.
Voices of Love.
I would listen again when I need that reminder of how good the simple moments in life can be.
It wasn't as much the actual narrator as it was the people being interviewed. I loved hearing the stories from the people who actually lived them.
I did listen to it all in one sitting. With it being abridged, it was only about an hour long and I listened to it over my lunch break one day.
